I don’t have enough words to express my gratitude to Dr. Sameer Karkhanis. He is not just a doctor but a magician and a God-sent blessing who gave me a new life with my top surgery (double incision). I never imagined that such a major surgery would be so smooth and stress-free, but he made it possible with his exceptional skills, expertise, and care. (Posting my picture to Reveal just the 2 months recovery) From the very first consultation to post-surgery recovery, his professionalism and compassion were beyond expectations. He explained everything in detail, made me feel comfortable, and ensured I had zero doubts or fears before the surgery. I was worried about scarring, but thanks to his incredible technique and post-op care, my healing was shockingly quick, and my chest now looks so natural, as if it was always meant to be this way. The medicines and guidance he provided worked wonders, and I didn’t have to struggle with dark scars or prolonged pain. This surgery wasn’t just a physical transformation—it was the rebirth of my confidence and happiness! I can finally live my life the way I always dreamed of, and all credit goes to Dr. Sameer Karkhanis. If you’re looking for the best, trust me, he is the one! Forever grateful!
I’m not exaggerating when I say that Dr. Sam changed my life for the better! Losing hair at 17-18 for reasons beyond your control can cause a lot of stress and trauma. I was on medication to stabilise my hairloss for around a year before finding the courage to go for a hair transplant. Dr. Sameer made me feel super comfortable and confident about the end results, which helped me deal with the taboo around getting a transplant. Everything from designing the hair line to the procedure itself was extremely smooth! Dr. Sameer and his team were extremely professional and made sure I was comfortable the entire time! He’s been very readily available for any follow up concerns I’ve had even almost a year after the procedure! My hair line looks great now and has helped me regain a lot of the confidence that I had lost. Would highly recommend him to anyone with a similar concern as mine!
Had a really great experience for hair loss treatment and hair transplantation. Dr Sameer sets the correct expectations for the patient and explain each process step by step. Really grateful and happy with the results.
Extremely happy with Dr. Sameer’s treatment. It has been around two months since I had a Vaser Liposuction to remove my Gynecomastia, and I did not feel any discomfort throughout this period. 95% of my scars have faded away, and I believe it will completely disappear in a couple of weeks. He was able to explain the procedure in great detail to myself and my family, which helped us with our mental preparation. There was a certain sense of calmness in his approach which gave us confidence.
A Journey of Trust and Transformation: My Rhinoplasty Experience For nearly 10 years, I searched for the right doctor to perform my rhinoplasty. I was scared of injections and was determined to find a surgeon who not only had excellent reviews but also instilled confidence in me about the results. I explored options in Chandigarh and Delhi, but none of the doctors I consulted seemed sure about the outcome. During my search, I came across Dr. Sameer Karkhanis from the Cosmetic Surgery Center in Thane, Mumbai. Over the years, I stayed in touch with his team, and they consistently responded to all my queries through calls, emails, and messages. After nearly a decade of communication, I finally had a video call with Dr. Sameer himself. He patiently listened to my concerns and thoroughly addressed all my questions. After that detailed session, I felt confident that he was the right surgeon for my rhinoplasty. I booked an appointment, flew from Chandigarh to Mumbai, and was taken care of from the moment I arrived. The staff was incredibly attentive to my needs, and the hospital was spotless and filled with positive energy. Dr. Sameer performed my surgery, and the results are fantastic. It has been three months, and there are no scars—my nose looks sharp and beautiful. I also had a dimple creation procedure, and both my nose and dimple look great; I receive compliments all the time! I am deeply grateful to Dr. Sameer, who I believe has magic in his hands. "God created me, but with God's grace, Dr. Sameer recreated me the way I wanted." Thank you, Dr. Sameer, and your amazing team. I’m already planning to return for a tummy fat reduction procedure!
I am at-least 10 years younger looking because of Dr Sameer's amazing work. Dr. Sameer was thorough and spent the right amount of time designing the hair line for me with guidance around slight under-correction and heavy implantation at line of sight areas of the hair line. I am extremely pleased with the results and with the amount of complements I have received with my hairline it would be unfair for me to write this review. From feeling weird with my hair to now styling my hair, the metamorphosis has been delightful! Thank you Dr. Sameer and your team for your excellent work with my hairline and being a catalyst in my physical confidence.
I'm writing this review three months after my revision surgery. After bad experience with my fisrt top surgery, I went to Dr. Sameer for a revision surgery. The result are amazing and I am very satisfied. I can now wear t-shirts and workout at the gym without discomfort. Dr. Sameer is the best Dr and incredibly knowledgeable. The staff were friendly, supportive and helpful throughout the process.
Lipoabdominoplasty with Umbilical Hernia Repair: I have been working on my weight loss since Jan 2024. (110kg wight) My weight loss was working fine with walking and diet, but my tummy was not going inside. Hence in Austin around March I scheduled an appointment with Plastic surgeon (Laparoscopy) in Austin Texas. My A1C in Jan was 7.1 and March is reduced down to 6.7.(Weight 103 Kg) He recommended me to meet with a civil surgeon as seen some issues with umbilical hernia. So, two weeks later I visited a civil surgeon, and he identified an issue with umbilical hernia. So, if I have to do surgery I need to work with two surgeons and follow the schedule. Civil surgeons do his part of umbilical hernia repair and plastic surgeon do the part of laparoscopy. I gave another thought a consulted with my school friend from Thane Dr Girish Sawant and he recommended / refereed with Dr Sameer Karkhanis from Thane. I started interacting with Dr Sameer for medical more in-depth technical conversation with Dr Sameer via email followed by photos and virtual consultations. I forwarded him a few pictures of my tummy as well as medical reports from Primary care, Plastic surgeon and civil surgeon from Austin. Dr Sameer responded to me promptly and answered my all the questions and risks with surgery. He provided accurate estimates of costs and other details. After all the discussions I planned to have surgery in Thane than Austin. The decision was based on convenience to do both the surgeries from one doctor/surgeon than the cost. I decided to travel from Austin from 3rd June reach Thane on 5th June do the pre-operation medical/blood tests at Jupiter and have surgery at Dr Karkhanis hospital on 6th June. His office also guided me to schedule appointments earlier so place will be sure for 5th June. I started from Austin on 3rd June and luckily flights were on time and reached Thane on 5th June morning around 2:30 am in the morning. Slept properly and woke up around 7 am. Some of the blood work needs to be done fasting so went to Jupiter directly. Did fasting blood work /tests first and had heavy breakfast at Jupiter. Most of the tests are done by 11 am and then went to Dr Karkhanis hospital around 11:30 am. He welcomed me and we did in person checking and conversation for the first time. We had discussion about risks and did checkups and everything looked good. After that met my parents and sister. Then in the evening I need to do fitness certificate down and that part becomes some challenge or bit opportunity on proactive communication. Anesthetist Dr Richa Mathur and other doctor Dr Pande feels some lungs improvement after long travel and my sleep anemia issue. Dr Sameer called me at late night, and we discussed postponing the surgery to 8th June instead of 6th June. That decision was very good as that will help post recovery sooner. Two days extra time helped me to complete my bank work as well as meet relatives and got enough rest before surgery and jet lag. On 8th June, morning Dr Richa Mathur and Dr Sameer communicated me things are looking good. They had a consultation with Dr Jaspreet too. The decision was made to go with epidural instead of full body anesthesia. 9:30 am pictures taken. Around 10:30 am I was taken to the OT room and started pre operation procedure. Dr Richa asked me which music I like to listen to, and things were going properly. I was awake during surgery, and we were having chit chat going on (from politics to other things in Austin). It was a good experience and around 6:20 pm I was back in the recovery room. It went a little bit longer and Dr Sameer said things are looking good. Hospital staff were cooperative, and nurse were to support almost 24*7. Earlier discussion was only two days hospitalization is good after surgery but looking at nursing care I decided to stay for 5 days. After that got discharged and moved home and for the first few days food intake was slow. But hospital staff was always for me to support on Phone which was helpful. We had another 11th Day in person inspection and the doctor cleared me out to fly back to Austin on 22nd June. He gave me discharge reports as well as wheelchair was recommended and necessary precautions. I was also a little worried about how I would manage everything after coming back to Austin. After coming back to Austin things were fine. The flight journey was okay. But got flue from internal travel back and one 4th day sugar went low to 47 and had to call 911 and admitted to the hospital. After proper sugar intake they discharged me the next day and things went good after that. Lots of fluids and food helped me to recover back quickly. Dr Sameer was available on the phone to support. After 4 weeks almost 80 % of the wound recovered and the new skin came back. One area on the RHS one inch that recovery took another two weeks. Suddenly a leak started in that area, and I was worried. But Dr Sameer did virtual consultation via video and pictures. He assured me not to worry and leak will stay for couple of days. I applied the cream as well as did wound care as per instructions from him. Office started right away, and driving was in progress. After 6 weeks, ie on 21st July drove to Houston too, ie approx. 3 hours away from Austin. That gave me some confidence. Had virtual consultation again on 27th July. This is the first day I did my long walk other than routine walk. This weekend had 2.5 miles of walk in the neighborhood. My current weight is 90 Kg. Feels good. Recovery was eventful but always has expert support. Thank you, Dr Sameer, for everything. Amol Manduskar
Dr Sameer is a very experienced and expert plastic surgeon. I wanted to undergo my hair transplant (FUE) done from such expert. My procedure was little challenging as my hair grafts were entirety white and there was possibility of wastage of grafts after transplant. But Dr Sameer did it very well and there was no wastage of grafts. Now after 8 months of procedure I got full coverage of hair.
I got my gynaecomastia surgery done from Dr Sameer. He is one of the finest doctors I have come across. His knowledge about his subject is impeccable and his demeanor towards you gets you into your comfort zone. The hospital is extremely hygienic and the staff is also extremely friendly. Before surgery he explained to me, what he will be doing in the OT. I was instructed on what precautions i needed to take before and after the surgery. Talking about results I’m more than happy with my result. I would give him 10 on 10 for this surgery and results. I will highly recommend Dr. Sameer, if you wish to get any cosmetic surgery done.
Hi! Every surgeon has their own post op pain protocol and there are options to oral tablets in the form of pain relief patches or liquids / syrups to augment the pain relief. You could discuss this with your PS and not him, the anaesthetist will be able to recommend adequate pain relief following the surgery. All the best, and I wish you a speedy recovery. Have a nice day.
Thanks for writing in with your pictures. I believe all you will need is a little touch up / revision lipo to address the skin fold. Do discuss it with your PS and I am sure he will be able to address it
Puffy nipples are a mild form of gynaecomastia which can result due to excess tissue like fat to gland beneath the nipple areola complex, or an excessively large / loose areola. There is no non surgical treatment for the same.Surgical correction of the puffy nipples involves a small incision along the nipple areola complex under local anaesthesia, and excision of the fatty / glandular tissue. In some cases a circumferential reduction of the areola might be required in addition to the excision of the tissues.
Hi! thanks for writing in with your pictures. You have loose skin with stretch marks below the umbilicus with muscle divarication (frontal & lateral view). Lipo alone will address the fat , but to address the loose skin & muscle; you will need a full lipo-abdominoplasty (Tummy tuck)
Hello! I believe there is some miscommunication between your PS & you. There should be no reason to have broken ribs following a TT procedure, but you could rarely have tenderness over some area following surgery which might mimic a broken rib, if not several.I wish you a speedy recovery. All the best.
