Dr Karkhanis and his beautiful staff are just a dream from beginning to end. As a woman travelling on her own I always felt 100% safe. Their drivers pick you up from the airport and I was always completely cared for. Dr Sameer is an artist. He explains everything to you and you feel fine standing in your undies while you both point to your wobbly bits. I had loose skin from a lifetime of yo-yo dieting, ending with a 40 kilo weight loss. Dr Sameer gave me an arm and thigh lift together, and I’m soooo happy with the results. I’ve never had a thigh gap in my life, and spent summer in shorts for the first time EVER. I stayed in his clinic for 10 days and had the caring nurses helped me every step of the way. Recovery was smooth, and back in Australia I gave myself 6 weeks doing nothing to make sure there were no issues. And everything healed without issue. In a few months I’ll do laser for the scars, and as soon as I get the cash, I’ll be flying back to India to get my torso skin removed. I’m so happy to have a surgeon I can 100% trust. For anyone unfamiliar, a belt lipectomy (also known as a lower body lift) is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen, lower back, hips, and buttocks. It's often recommended for patients who have experienced massive weight loss and want to contour their midsection more effectively. The incision typically runs around the hipd like a belt, allowing the surgeon to lift and tighten multiple areas in one procedure. The scar is well hidden under bathers, but isn't small, and requires scar modulation and potentially treatment to minimize as much as possible. To my surprise, the surgery wasn’t painful. The only challenge in the early days was that it took a little time to stand up and walk properly, but that’s expected with this kind of operation. One thing I really appreciated was that my drains were removed in just under four days, which made recovery so much easier and more manageable. Dr. Karkhanis is absolutely wonderful—not only is he highly skilled, but he’s also incredibly kind, patient, and professional. His team was equally lovely and supportive throughout the process, making me feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way.
