Doctors, may you all be continuously blessed for bringing happiness in the lives of those who need a little more confidence in their physical appearance. Is it really necessary to consult with more than one doctor regarding a BA, if the first one I see I'm comfortable with, and more than qualified? My consultatation is coming up soon with doctor Michael Gartner. If I am comfortable with the first board-certified doctor I see, would it be fool-hardy to not consult with others before BA surgery?

Answer: You can see just one Eyag: While it is very common for patients to obtain a consultation from 2 or 3 Plastic Surgeons prior to their procedure there is nothing wrong with signing up with the first Board Certified Plastic Surgeon you consult with as long as you feel completely comfortable with him or her.Best of luck to you!G. Seeing more than one surgeon is not necessary but often helpful for comparison. Seeking second opinions may make you even more sure of your first choice. By seeing another surgeon, this will confirm the first surgeon is the perfect surgeon for you, or tell you that the first surgeons isn't everything that you thought he was. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with.
