do i have tubulous breasts or am i only flat chested? will it affect my breastfeeding in the future? is it normal to be over weight but have nothing there?
Answer: Do I have tubular breasts, flatchestedness or both? Thank you for the question and pictures. I think your breast photos do demonstrate some of the characteristics seen with tubular (constricted) his breast. For example, the distance from the areola to inframammary folds seems to be tight and relatively short. Your inframammary folds seem to be widely spaced from the midline of your chest. The areola do demonstrate some features associated with tubular breast such as an increased width and “puffiness”. You will benefit from an in-person consultation with well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. This consultation will allow for accurate advice that is best provided after a thorough history, physical examination, and detailed discussion of your goals. There are a lot of factors to consider when making recommendations; for example your life circumstances ( planned pregnancies, psychosocial situation…) and tolerance for scars are factors that should be taken into consideration by you and your plastic surgeon. I hope this helps.

Answer: Do I Have Tubular breasts? Hello,Thank you for your question and photos. It appears that you may have constriction as a factor for for the lack of development in your lower poles but it is difficult to say without an in-person exam. Depending on your age and stage of development you may be a good candidate for breast augmentation with implants. I recommend that you meet with a board certified plastic surgeon in person to talk about your concerns and learn about the options you have. All the best

Answer: Tuberous Thank you for your question and photograph. Tuberous breasts present in different degrees of severity. Three hallmark features of tuberous breasts include enlarged areolas, herniation of breast tissue through the areola, and a constricted base. It is not clear to me from your photograph whether or not you do actually have tuberous breasts. Best to discuss your particular circumstances during an in-person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck.

Answer: Do I have tubular breasts, flatchestedness or both? Your breasts are quite small but fortunately you do not have tuberous breasts. With smaller breasts who should be able to breast-feed but will make less milk than your child may need and will likely need to supplement feeding with formula as do 66% of women. Fortunately you do not have tuberous breast and breast augmentation alone could increased breast size and improve shape.
