How soon after a BA can I get tattoos?

It should be safe to get a tattoo then wait a full month for your breast augmentation.Please discuss with your plastic surgeon for his blessings and viewpoint

I advise my patients to wait at least 6 weeks after their breast augmentation before getting a tattoo. This is to minimize the risk of a possible infection. If the tattoo is going to be placed over any incisions or surgical areas, you should wait 3 months before proceeding. 

Hello,Depending on the location of your tattoo I recommend that you wait at least a couple of months so that your inflammation has resolved. A tattoo on or near the breast may be best planned after 6 months when your breasts have fully dropped and fluffed.All the best

The breast augmentation incision will be located at the inframammary fold.  Your tattoo should be placed below that fold to prevent it from being stretched.  Ask your plastic surgeon for his or her advice, but I would recommend that you wait until the incision is healed and swelling is minimal.

Much of the swelling and contour changes of the breasts are completed by about three months. I would recommend waiting about three months after the surgery is done.

As far as how long to wait to get a tattoo post-procedure, that is something best addressed by your specialist plastic surgeon. There are a variety of factors to consider that they will be able to address with you - placement of the tattoo, rate of healing, risk of complications, etc. You wouldn’t want to go through the cost and recovery of augmentation just to have something go wrong because you didn’t wait long enough before getting a tattoo. Hi, and thank you for your question. I suggest waiting at least three months after your surgery to be sure that you achieve best placement of the tattoo. Discuss this with your surgeon and ensure he is happy that you have fully healed and the implants have settled before having a tattoo. Also, make sure that the incision is completely healed before you get your tattoo.
