Asymmetry in breasts - would small implants make them look natural and more even? (Photo)

Question

I’m a white female, age 27. My breasts are slightly asymmetrical- left is a B right is small C. The problem is that the right has sagged a bit more and has more stretch marks so the skin is a bit loose. My left nipple is facing straight and is in the middle of the breasts as the right one is facing about 1cm lower. I want to fix that, but don’t want the huge scaring of the breast lift. Would small implants make them look natural and more even? I’m 174cm and 68kg

Hello! Don't worry, everyone's breasts are never the same or look asymmetrical! It is normal. But to answer your question, you can add small implants to give you a more full look, although when you add implants some patients would have their nipples facing different directions and still may need to consider a breast lift to reposition the nipples. I would most definitely consult with a surgeon and see what their plan is for you.

Thank you for the question. You should see a plastic surgeon and discuss the options and try the sizers. You can do for different size implants to get symmetry in volume but to get symmtyery in shape, you will need an uplift. to get an idea of your post op results, you can request for 3D simulation and see what to expect from the surgery. You can also consider some fat transfer to medial pole to get better cleavage.

I recommend breast augmentation. However, this alone will not correct the issue. The right breast also needs a lift as well as an implant. During your consultation, your surgeon might even suggest putting different sizes of implants to correct the asymmetry. This is not an uncommon solution. Thanks for your question! Your best chance at getting optimal symmetry and perkiness is by doing a lift/reduction on the droopier side. It may need to be a staged surgery, but that's something that could be determined in a consultation. Simply using two different sized implants probably won't be the best option for you. Good luck!

Thanks for your question. From your pictures, you seem to be a good candidate for breast augmentation. Breast augmentation does help with asymmetry and depending on the implants you choose with your surgeon, you can achieve the most natural look. Hello, thank you for your question. Usually we can choose two different size implants for breast asymmetry however implants do not sit in the same position as your natural breast tissue. The implant sits a bit higher and tends not to fall like the natural breast tissue. Speak to your plastic surgeon about your options.

Hello, you are correct in analyzing your asymmetry. The right breast is wider, lower and has grade 2 ptosis compared to the grade 1/pseudoptosis on the left. In my experience placing implants without performing a balancing mastopexy procedure to help lift, narrow and re-center the right nipple/areola compared to the left could magnify some of these asymmetries. I would recommend a in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to thoroughly examine your anatomy, goals and options!

Implants alone will not solve your problem. Your breasts are widely separated and pointing outward. The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, fat transfers or small implants can be placed if additional volume is desired.

Implants alone will not correct this issue.  You would need a lift on the larger more ptotic breast so that they would match.   An augmentation-mastopexy would be the best option.
