Good candidate for lollipop mastopexy or quit while I'm ahead? (Photos)

Question

I had a donut breast lift a year ago and find my areola to be uneven and too large for my liking. I'm wondering whether a lollipop mastopexy might allow a much smaller areola placed higher up on the breast. Would this be appropriate for small breasts that are already decently perky? Would it give me a result closer to what I'm after (last pic for ideal areola size), or would the risks as well as the cost lead you to recommend I quit while I'm ahead, rather than pursuing another surgery?

The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. You will still have a scar around the areolas.

Hello, thank you for your question. In short yes a lollipop lift can improve the location and size of the areola however its difficult to know what the best option is for without proper consultation and examination, where we take measurements. Of course over time areolas tend to stretch out a bit.

Your result is good. Your nipple is not too low nor too large. Leave it alone. A lollipop lift will make your breasts seem smaller and you don’t need the lift

Dear 8cjgkkkk,
determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs.

Thanks for your question.  I believe you have a nice result from your donut mastopexy and I would be inclined to leave it well enough alone.  While a lollipop mastopexy may allow a slightly smaller areola it might flatten your breast at the same time.  This is based on your photographs and I would recommend you discuss this with the surgeon that performed your donut breast lift.  Good luck!

First, your mastopexy scars and areola a appear very nice.  If you desire smaller areolas, then either a revision periareolar mastopexy or a lollipop mastopexy would make the areola smaller and elevate their height on the breasts.

Based on the nicely posted photos, I would turn you down for any further surgery. But you will find some surgeon willing to do this unnecessary surgery. The risks vs be if it ratios are not acceptable

From your photos, I note your relatively large areolae, which is not uncommon after a donut lift. Your scars have matured well. You appear to demonstrate minimal sag. 
A lollipop lift will allow for reduction of areolar diameter and elimination of the sag, but will add a vertical scar from the areola to the fold beneath the breasts. .
It is your decision  to proceed or not to proceed with a second surgery. The results of your previous procedure would be deemed acceptable.
Revisit your plastic surgeon for reevaluation and discussion.
