Hi, I would like to have a lipo of both knees (inner side). When will I see the final results?
Answer: Understanding the Timeline for Knee Liposuction Results: Insights and Recommendations Hello, thank you for your inquiry about the timeframe for observing results following knee liposuction. It's important to recognize that individual experiences vary, and surgical techniques among plastic surgeons differ. Generally speaking, the final outcomes of any liposuction procedure, including knee liposuction, become apparent within 6 to 8 weeks. This timeline accounts for the resolution of swelling or edema, which is a common post-surgical occurrence, regardless of the liposuction technique employed. Techniques such as VASER, LASER, power-assisted liposuction, jet liposuction, or traditional liposuction all typically see swelling subside by the 6 to 8-week mark. Given that the knee area is prone to fluid accumulation due to its lower position in the body, wearing a compression garment specifically designed for the knee region is advisable. It is also crucial to maintain regular follow-up appointments with your plastic surgeon to monitor for any potential complications, such as seromas (serous fluid collections) or hematomas (blood collections). Should you develop a seroma or hematoma, needle drainage may be necessary to address these issues. I appreciate your question about how long it takes to see results after knee liposuction and hope this response provides clarity. Sincerely, J. Timothy Katzen, MD, FASMBS, FICS Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeon

Answer: Knee Liposuction advice Thanks so much for your question, The timeline for seeing results from knee liposuction can vary among individuals, and it's important to note that the initial recovery period is different from the time it takes for the final results to become apparent. Initially, there will be swelling and bruising in the treated area. This is a normal part of the healing process. Swelling gradually decreases over the first few weeks, and you'll start to see some initial improvements. While you may see improvements early on, the final results typically start becoming more apparent around 3 to 6 months after the surgery. It's crucial to follow your plastic surgeon's postoperative care instructions, including wearing compression garments as recommended, attending follow-up appointments, and avoiding activities that may hinder the healing process. Sincerely, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol

Answer: Knee liposuction You should be able to see some results right after surgery. Final results take about three months. This allows time for swelling to resolve and tissues to settle. Be sure to follow your board certified plastic surgeon's post op instructions closely for optimal results.

Answer: Time it take to see results from knee liposuction The timeline for seeing results from knee liposuction can vary from person to person and depends on factors such as the extent of the procedure, individual healing rate, and post-operative care. However, here's a general timeline of what you might expect: Immediate post-operative period (0-2 weeks): Right after knee liposuction, you may experience swelling, bruising, and discomfort in the treated area. These are common side effects of the surgery and are temporary. You may not see significant changes in the appearance of your knees during this early stage due to swelling. 2 weeks to 3 months: Swelling gradually subsides over the first few weeks to months following knee liposuction. During this time, you may start to notice improvements in the contour and appearance of your knees as swelling decreases. However, the final results may not be fully visible yet. 3 to 6 months: By the three-month mark, most of the initial swelling should have resolved. You may start to see more noticeable improvements in the appearance of your knees, with a reduction in excess fat and improved contouring. However, some residual swelling may still be present, and the final results may continue to develop over the next few months. 6 months to 1 year: By six months to a year post-surgery, you should see the full results of knee liposuction. Any remaining swelling should have resolved, and the treated area should have achieved its final contour. The skin around the knees may also appear smoother and more toned compared to before the procedure.
