Hi, Ever since I can remember I have had this B shaped stomach. It’s like my stomach is in separate sections. I am generally quite an athletic build but no matter how much I weigh/ how much I slim down I always have this. Am I a good candidate for liposuction or tummy tuck? Thanks
Answer: Liposuction Thank you for your question. It looks like you may be a candidate for liposuction to your abdomen. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. Best wishes!

Answer: Liposuction versus Tummy Tuck Hi Charming932060, Thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, it appears that you would be an excellent candidate for abdominal liposuction to improve the contour of your abdomen. Whether or not an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) would provide greater improvement really depends on how much excess skin you have and if you have significant rectus diastasis (separation of the abdominal muscles). Based on your photographs, it doesn't appear that you have a large amount of excess skin, however, an examination by a qualified surgeon would be necessary to determine the degree of skin laxity and rectus diastasis. Best of luck! -Roger Smith, MD, FACS

Answer: Abdomen lipodystrophy Hello! I find that you would be an excellent candidate for liposuction w/ vaser and possibly a skin tightening modality such as Renuvion j-plasma. The fat deposited in the abdomen can sometimes encapsulate and be stubborn to remove with just exercise and diet. Vaser is an excellent technology that can help break up the fat pockets and allow for much easier liposuction. Best of luck!

Answer: Yes Liposuction could work for you While it can be difficult to answer from those photos alone, it does appear like liposuction would likely be a great option to remove stubborn fat and improve the contour of your abdomen. What is hard to tell is the skin, but it looks like you have good skin quality from what I can tell. Lipo is always a balance of removing as much fat as possible while trying to minimize loose skin afterwards. If you have had children or significant weight changes, the skin may not contract enough and a tummy tuck would be the better operation which, while it has a longer scar, can create a really massive impact on body contour to flatten the stomach and create a really lean, natural hourglass figure.
