I have thick skin and bulbous tip if I get rhinoplasty to make it smaller and less bulbous will it possible? (photos)

Based on your photos, it appears you would be a good candidate for rhinoplasty. While thicker skin can make this procedure more challenging, it is not a contraindication for having the surgery. As far as traveling to Turkey for your procedure, I would caution you against plastic surgery in a foreign country as traveling soon after surgery is risk and aftercare is very difficult. I recommend finding a board-certified plastic surgeon here in the U.S. with extensive experience in rhinoplasty techniques. I believe with a qualified surgeon and surgery customized to your precise needs and goals, you should see a very good result. 

Based on your photos, you may have a wide and long nasal appearance, with a small profile bump. Rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for achieving a smaller, narrower, and less distracting nasal appearance. Your skin appears to be "medium" thickness which may be favorable for rhinoplasty. Insofar as traveling to Turkey, I do not know how you would achieve follow up care which is important the first year after your rhinoplasty. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

Thank you for your question.  You are a great candidate and should be able to achieve an excellent result with rhinoplasty. Narrowing a bulbous tip and creating a more defined and refined nasal tip is one of the more straightforward procedures in rhinoplasty.  It is important to interview several plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty.  Rhinoplasty is an art form only a few surgeons develop mastery. Make sure that you critically review the photos galleries of prospective surgeons. Generally, patients need to take approximately 1 week off work. Best wishes to you.

You seem to be an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty. I see no reason for having that done out of country. What if something goes wrong? You are going to ask for advice using RealSelf? Consultation with a board certified plastic or ENT surgeon with good reputation in rhinoplasty would help. Good luck.

Thanks for your question. In looking at your pictures I think it is definitely possible to achieve a more feminine and defined nasal tip. And while your goals can be achieved surgically I would caution you on traveling too far for surgery just because long term follow up is needed in order to be able to achieve the best result. The healing and swelling from a rhinoplasty can take a long time and close follow up with your surgeon is essential and so if you won't be able to stay in Turkey long term to be able to follow up with your surgeon you may want to consider having your surgery closer to home. Hello and thank you for your question.  I strongly recommend that you have your surgery done in the United States.   Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty which can be performed by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. You may also benefit from a cephalic rotation of your tip to turn up your tip slightly and a dorsal hump reduction.    Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and not just a computer animation system.  You should be able to view numerous pictures of actual patients with noses similar to yours performed by your surgeon.  If you cannot find enough real before and after pictures, then consider continuing your search for a surgeon. Hello and thank you for your question. You do benefit from a rhinoplasty procedure focusing on tip refinement. And while it is harder to improve tip definition in patients with thicker nasal skin, good results can still be achieved by a combination of manipulating the underlying cartilaginous framework (suturing, trimming, etc) and conservative soft tissue debulking. My best advice is that you discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in performing rhinoplasty. I would ask to see before and after pictures of their real patients. It's important that you trust your surgeon's skills and ability to achieve the results you are looking for. In particular, pay attention to your surgeon's experience with rhinoplasty. Best,
