Scab fell off from my stitch 3 weeks after breast augmentation (Photo)

Thank you for your photograph and questions.  As your body heals from the inside-out, any scabs that developed along your incision line will gradually slough off. This is similar to when, as a child, you scraped your knee and had to wait for it to heal.  This is normal and, assuming you haven't had any changes to the sensation or appearance of your breast, all should be okay.  Hang in there!

Thank you very much for this interesting enquire.In my practice, after performing a BA I recommend to my patients to limit the movement of the arms for two weeks. After that, you can move your arms taking care and always with common sense. In this regard, it's not advisable to carry heavy weights to prevent the implant out of position, and allow the formation of the physiological capsule around the implant, also to avoid pain and breast swelling. It is completely normal to have some scabbing around your incisions and there is nothing unusual about them falling off around 3 weeks.  Continue to see your doctor regularly and follow his instructions for scar care.  If you notice any redness or drainage in the area you should call right away. 

Don't worry. Scabs falling off are all part of the healing process. As long as you don't see or feel any other change in your breast, you are fine. Keep the faith. Your breasts are going to look great!

Thanks for your photo and questions.  It is difficult to tell from your picture, but it is unlikely that you will have any significant issues from the scab falling off.  It is part of the normal healing process.  Make sure you speak with your plastic surgeon if your are concerned.

Hi,Thank you for your question.From your picture I can see you have a very small area of delayed wound healing. It should heal soon and without unfavourable scars. Keep it clean and protected with dressing.If you notice redness and swelling it may be caused by infection. You are experiencing a normal process of healing that will have little or no consequence to your ultimate healing scar. Please ask your surgeon's office for specific guidance to wound care.Best Wishes,Nana Mizuguchi

Hi, this is normal but you have to let  them fall, not remove it.  Just moisturize it with Johnson baby oil till they fall.And as you  already say use Neosporin over the scar, it will moisturize and avoid growing of bacteria.Congratulations on having your surgery done.

concerns.

Having said that, different surgeons will use different techniques to close the
wounds. There is no one way to do it. There is no one right way to do it
either. I am

BEST answer.

Thank you for your question. It is normal healing process and scabs will fall and incision heal. If you have an redness or discharge or separation of wound please call your PS.
