I am 32a/b and want full d. I'm 5'4, 115lbs 28, one child. I went to multiple consultations. 3 said I have broad shoulders and wide breast tissue.14 cm across? I work out 4 X a week and have a 16.7% body fat. Due to this I am a small 32a/b. I do not want the natural look. Two of the 3 surgeons said the natural look is better even though my chest and muscles were big enough to accommodate 400cc. I have attached before pictures and ideal breast look pictures.
Answer: Choosing the Right Size Implant I don't think a 400cc is too large based on your "desired outcome" photos. I would advise you to look at the before and after photos for the surgeons that you've consulted and see who does the work that best fits your aesthetic. Then, make sure that he or she is board certified. And then, trust his or her opinion. When choosing an implant, an in person examination is mandatory.

Answer: Is 400cc round silicone too high? Negatives to that size? Will I be able to achieve my desired fullness? Based on your photos, the wish photos and your breast base measurement you can have a 400cc implant in a submuscular pocket. With a high profile implant, you can go as high as 500cc. These sizes will give you the augmented look you are aiming for. Obviously, the larger the implant, the heavier it is and with thin tissues you are prone to earlier sagging. your nipple/areolar complexes will be stretched out as well. If you are not fully satisfied with the previous consultations, see another board certified plastic surgeon for an in person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.

Answer: Is 400cc round silicone too high? Negatives to that size? Will I be able to achieve my desired fullness? Thank you for your question and photographs. You are an excellent candidate for a breast augmentation, and a size/shape similar to your goal photographs can be obtained. Though an in-person examination is required to give you the best implant size, style, and profile recommendation, the concern of the surgeons recommending a smaller implant lies in the fact that larger implants have increased risks of implant malposition and bottoming out. I would continue to communicate with your surgeons, and select the one with whom you feel most comfortable, and who best understands your desired goal look.

Answer: Is 400cc round silicone too high? Negatives to that size? Will I be able to achieve my desired fullness? Thank you for the question and pictures. Based on your photographs, I think that you are starting at a good place and should have a very nice outcome with breast augmentation surgery. I also think that your goal photographs are realistic. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery (regarding breast implant type/size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. In bra sizers can be useful communication tools also. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "C or D cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. The use of computer imaging may be very helpful during the communication process. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery ( after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers). I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to breast augmentation surgery concerns), helps. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with.

Answer: Is THIS Breast Implant Too Big for me? Your question (with different sizes of implants inserted) is one of the commonest asked questions Plastic surgeons hear every day. But it is in effect several questions in one:1. Would implant XXXcc give me the look I desire?2. Can implant XXXcc be placed under my breasts?3. If the implant does produce THAT look, would that look be long lasting?I'll start with 3. No breast in human history has withstood the devastating forces of Time and Gravity. The most beautiful, perky breasts of a 20 something will never look the same when she is 40 or 50. And pregnancy makes this an absolute certainty. Why? The larger the breast tissue, the more it gets pulled to the ground very much like a feather drops. Since breast implants are filled with either salt water or silicone gel and NOT with Helium, the addition of an implant guarantees a heavier breast and a speedier sagging.Question 2. With a few exception, almost any size implant can be stuffed into anybody's breast. The better question would be, SHOULD implant XXXcc be placed in MY breasts? Now, you are asking your surgeon to consider the delicate interplay between the available breast tissue to cover the implant (VERY important in wrinkle avoidance), the diameter of the implant and its height or projection. These vary widely between LP, Low Profile, MP(Medium profile) HP and Ultra HP breast implant even through they may have more or less the same volume in cc's.And the MOST important question, would implant XXXcc give me the look I want. Yes - you kingly submitted idealized, photoshopped photos images which give us a general idea of your goal. But, my X ray vision has been out of sorts lately and I suspect those powers are lacking in most of my colleagues as well. As a result, since we do not know what these women's breasts looked like before they were augmented and we cannot see through them to see which implants they have in hem, there is NO way anyone can ethically promise you that they can produce these exact results. After hundreds of breast augmentations, most Plastic surgeons develop an intuitive idea what each implant could produce in the woman before him BUT this is hardly science. For you to BEST learn what you may look like I would suggest you see which surgeon(s) in your area offer 3D imaging by VECTRA (Canfield). The computer takes a 3D image of you and then you and your surgeon can see how you may look after surgery with every single implant used in the US. Would you like to see yourself with implant XXXcc on the right and XXXXcc on the left? Sure. you push a button and you see the transformation before you. No guessing. No reluctant trusting followed by disappointment.Good LuckPeter Aldea, MDMemphis, TN
