What would be better; 235 cc or 255 cc for a petite woman? (photos)

Question

Once again, thank you to all the doctors taking the time to offer very helpful insight for me. I am 5'2, 110 lbs, slightly curvy. I am going with mentor classic profile. I have chosen 235 cc, yet now I am wondering if I should go up to 255 cc. My current bra size is 34a. I want to *look* like a small c cup, as I know bra sizes cannot be guaranteed. I will either choose (235cc & 215cc) OR (255cc & 235cc) to fix the asymmetry.

Thank you for your question and photos.  Many plastic surgeons offer 3D imaging and breast sizers to help you determine the general size of implant that might be best for you.  Often the final determination of exact size of implant is best determined by your plastic surgeon at the time of surgery depending on which fit your own body the best.  When you talk about the difference between 235cc and 255cc implants, there is less than one ounce of difference between the two, which would be imperceptible to most people. If you choose your plastic surgeon wisely; one with extensive experience in breast augmentation surgery that you're comfortable communicating with, you can trust that you will get a result that you'll be happy with. I appreciate your question.

The size of implant best for you is dictated by your
chest wall measurements.  Once we determine that we can choose the profile
based on what you want or need to achieve.  If you are seeking a natural look, then the diameter of the implant
should be equal to or, more ideally, smaller than the width of your breast. The
breast width is a measurement of how wide your breast is at the base, which
should be measured at the level of the nipple. Choosing an implant that is
smaller in diameter than your breast width will avoid the "side
breast" fullness that is often associated with a more artificial
appearance.  Other than that, you should choose the implant based on
volume, not on the dimensions of the implant.

Silicone will give you a fullness at the
top (upper pole fullness).

Silicone implants come pre-filled with a
silicone gel and are the softest implant available. They feel more natural,
which makes them a good option for women with less natural breast tissue; but
they require a larger incision. It may be more difficult to realize if this
type of implant has ruptured, so it is important to monitor them with annual
follow-up visits. Additionally, because this implant contains a more liquid silicone
(less cross-linked), if this implant should rupture, it will leak only into the
scar capsule formed around the implant but may cause some discomfort or implant
distortion.

Anatomic gummy bear implants might be a
good choice to give you volume.

These highly-sought-after, anatomic
implants offer a look that more closely resembles the natural silhouette of a
breast, and, therefore, are a very attractive option for individuals seeking a
natural-looking, aesthetic primary breast augmentation. Additionally, these
implants are an especially excellent option for patients undergoing restorative
or corrective breast surgery because they provide more stability, shape, and
reduced incidence of capsular contracture. Compared to other types of silicone
gel implants, the silicone in the cohesive gel implant is more cross-linked;
therefore, should the implant shell “rupture,” it maintains its shape and
silicone does not leak.

During your breast augmentation
consultation, you should feel the different types of implants available, and
try on various implant sizers in front of a mirror to help you to get an idea
of how you will look following the surgery. You should also bring pictures of
the look you would like to achieve, as well as a favorite top to wear when
trying on implant sizers.

advice would be an in-person exam.

Assuming that you've chosen a surgeon who's work you like and who is board certified, I would advise you to trust his or her opinion. You can certainly "try out" the two different sizes either with gel implants from your surgeon or the at home rice method (1 oz rice = 30 cc breast volume; put in ziplock bag and into your bra), but don't drive yourself crazy. Your surgeon has seen you in person and is therefore the only one capable of making a valid size recommendation.

The difference in volume between those two implants is really minimal. I typically tell patients that they can't see less than 30 cc difference. Feel comfortable with your decision and try each one in a bra with your plastic surgeon before making your final decision.

Thank you for your question and photographs.  Implant selection is an exciting, yet stressful, part of the augmentation process because of the number of available options.  The most important part of the selection process is actually the conversation you have with your surgeon about your desired outcome or "look."  Your surgeon should then be able to help you make the correct implant selection based on some key breast measurement parameters.  You should also "try on" these implants in your surgeons office to mimic what your results will be.  Though 20cc's seems like a large increase, this amounts to less than an ounce of liquid. Asymmetric Augmentation will improve volume discrepancy but not shape difference which is an acceptable trade off for not surgically adjusting the skin envelope. The size difference you are considering is minimal and if you are unable to make a decision then ask yourself if you are more worried about being too small or too large. Why are you seeking such a personal answer from all the strangers on internet.  You will severely confuse yourself.  Have a one serious one to one discussion with your surgeon and decide.  Your asymmetry is in more than just ins the size of your breasts.  Just different sizes may not fix this issue. It will persist

No one can make that decision except you. No one responding to this question is going to pick your implant size for you. That small of a difference is basically undetectable. The best advise is to try them on and look at the difference against your chest wall , in a bra, and sitting on the counter. Then make your decision and go for it.
