I'm 19 and have never really developed breasts and although they may still grow I doubt it will be to a size I feel comfortable with and looks proportionate to my 5'7 125lb frame. (31-26-37) My surgeon recommended 360cc at the first consultation (anatomical behind the muscle) but will this take me to my goal of a C/D? We tried on sizers and I was quite happy with the size but will they be smaller than that when they are under the muscle?
Answer: Predicting breast size with breast implants Thank you for your question. As a 32AA every 100cc is approximately equal to 1cup. So, a 360cc breast implant can potentially take you to a 32C/D cup. Muscle thickness will also affect projection of implant. Once muscle is stretched out and thins, the implants will project more. I believe 360cc implants are a good size for you. They are large enough to do what you want them to do, but not too large where your risks and complications increase. Remember, the larger the implant = the heavier they are = the sooner you will need revision surgery. Larger implants can cause a myriad of problems like chronic pain, nipple numbness, bottoming out, malposition, capsular contracture, irreversible soft tissue damage, skin stretch deformities, etc. I hope this helps. Best wishes and kind regards,

CONTACT NOW Answer: Breast Implants/Breast Augmentation/Anatomic Gummy Bear Implants/ Silicone Implants/Breast Implant Revision Surgery I appreciate your question. It depends on your chest wall measurements and existing breast tissue as implant size does not accurately correlate to a bra size. It also depends on the brand and style of bra you wear as size varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery. Best of luck! Dr. Schwartz

Answer: Breast augmentation Hello and thank you for your question. You are a great candidate for a breast augmentation. The size, profile, and shape of the implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall measurements, and soft tissue quality. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. This entire surgery can be performed with a small incision technique. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Should 360cc take me from a 32AA to C/D? The 360cc should give you a result similar to the last desired photo that you show. Cup size is difficult to predict because different bra retailers label the same bra differently. If you were happy with the sizers I would follow your surgeons advice. Answer: Breast Augmentation - Size Selection Thank you for your question. "Tissue based planning" relies on your chest and breast measurements and is the safest way to ensure good long term results. Your surgeon should determine what size and projection are necessary to give you your desired result based on your body's measurements. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic breast surgery. Hope this helps and good luck with your surgery.
