Thanks for your pictures. I would recommend that your garment be "supportive" not constricting. Constriction will decrease the circulation and potentially injure the skin.
Helllo. It is difficult to determine how tight your compression garment is on you. I suggest you allow your plastic surgeon to demonstrate how tight it should be. Best Wishes!#compression #tightness #evaluation
I will generally have my tummy tuck patients and my liposuction patients wear some gentle compression for the first 4 to 6 weeks following surgery. The garment should be snug but should not feel tight. There should be no constriction in your ability to move or to breathe. When in doubt I would error on the side of having less rather than more compression.
The compression garment should be tight enough that it feels snug, but shouldn’t adversely affect your breathing ability. If you have questions about your garment, I suggest you see your surgeon, since it’s hard to say from your pictures alone.
Congratulations on your tummy tuck. Each plastic surgeon can differ in our surgical and post-surgical protocol. If there was no liposuction performed, you can wear binder or compression garment.I want the binder/garment to be tight but no painful. It is difficult to tell from you photos how tight your garment is.It would be best to ask your plastic surgeon for his/her recommendation.
The garment should provide gentle compression to minimize swelling. It should not be strangulating. These words may not be helpful. The best way to be sure is to visit your surgeon's office and have the doctor or one of the support staff evaluate the tightness of the garment. Best of luck.
