One side of my cheek feels tighter than the other. Is this normal?

Is it normal for your smile to feel tight after Xeomin for crows feet? More specifically is it normal for it to feel a bit tighter on one side then the other side? I am on day 6 post and my smile still looks perfectly normal however the left side is feeling tighter when I try to smile then the right side. I am scared I will wake up to a droopy face and giving myself anxiety over it.

You are probably experiencing exactly that.  If it is mild, the sensation may only last a few weeks.  When it is bad, it can cause the eyelid and smile to sag on the affected side and persist for months.  Not pleasant.  Whatever effect you have at about 10 days after the service will likely be the maximum effect.  Avoid having this area treated in the future or avoid having this doctor do your service in the future.

Thank you for your question. It is normal to experience some tightness up to 14 days after treatment. If you still experience tightness, I recommend contacting your provider. Always make sure you seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.

Xeomin can take up to 10-14 days for the entire effect to be felt.  Some tightness in the treated areas can be very  normal.  Many of us have stronger muscles on one side of our face than on the other, so the weaker side may respond more to the same amount of Xeomin and, therefore, feel tighter.  I recommend following up with your injector in order to see if you need a little more in the side that does not feel as tight (and is probably moving more).  However, if you don't like the tight feeling, don't worry.  It will likely lessen in 2-3 weeks.Best of luck to you.

Xeomin can take up to 14 days to take full effect and for some of the tightness to wear off. It should settle in the next week but I recommend following up with the Doctor to let them know of your concerns if the tightness concerns you.

Sometimes one side may feel more tight or frozen than the other. It takes approximately 2 weeks to have its full effect. Then the tightness starts to relax a bit. The good and bad news about xeomin is that it totally wears off in 3 months.

Xeomin can take up to a full 14 days to achieve the final results. If this tightness is bothersome I  would follow up with the provider and have a discussion about what you are unhappy with. Some of my patients don't like having their crows feet treated because they feel like they can't smile as large. It is a personal preference. Good luck!

At this point I would not worry. Your treatment is just starting to take effect. I would wait for a full 2 weeks to see your result.
