I can’t say enough about Dr. Renee Burke and her Staff. I’m a nervous person with any Drs. But right off the bat I felt at ease. My procedure was a mommy make over ( tummy tuck and breast augmentation) and I am now almost 4 months out. The recovery went smoothly and I absolutely love my results! The best part is my belly button!!! I was so nervous that it wouldn’t look natural and people would know I got a tummy tuck but it honestly looks just like my old one but better! Thank you again for getting my confidence back and back to feeling like me! again!
The best place to go. All woman, super friendly and informative. I saw 2 doctors before her and she blew them all away. Highly highly recommend. I had my breast done Tuesday and it's Thursday and I feel pretty great! Go to her!
I recently had a CoolSculpting and Diamond Glow session at Dr. Burke's Barrington office. Tina made me feel comfortable and made my entire experience amazing! She's an expert with incredible positive energy and comes highly recommended--Tina is THE BEST! The CoolSculpting removed unwanted fat and the Diamond Glow rejuvenated my skin--phenomenal! If you have been thinking about CoolSculpting or a Diamond Glow facial, please visit Tina and the Dr. Burke team. The all-female staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. A huge thanks to Tina and the Dr. Burke team!
Couldn't be happier with my breast augmentation by Dr. Burke! When searching, I had a hard time finding a doctor who's previous patients/outcome matched my desired results until I came by Dr. Burke. The consultation was very informative and Dr. Burke's and her staff definitely steered me in the right direction. I scheduled my procedure about a month out and next thing I know I was going under. Any medical procedure makes me very nervous and light headed but her staff did everything to keep me relaxed. After the procedure I was pretty out of it. I slept, woke up to take meds, ate, and slept some more. I stopped the pain meds about 4 days in and switched to otc. It wasn't really the pain more of an inconvenience: not being able to get up myself, picking up a water bottle or opening medication bottles, and taking a real shower. It took about a week and a half to feel up to doing anything. I returned to work (physical job setting) two weeks and 3 days after. Now, five months post op, I am back to normal, no pain, can finally sleep on my stomach and side, and am able to comfortably work out. The implants feel like part of my body. So thankful for Dr. Burke and her team. Everybody is incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, and so helpful. I've received so many complaints on the outcome from "perfect size for my body" to "best boob job I've ever seen" and it has all the girls I work with asking who my doctor was!
I was unsure and nervous at firat. But Dr. Burke and her staff put me completely at ease. Answered any questions my or my husband had. I am now 3 weeks post op and feel pretty good and I love the results already. Everyone says tbey can already see my confidence has improved. I went from 36 small A, she put in 450 cc. I am right now wearing large bralettes or 36D bras. I would highly recommend Dr Burke.
I had my surgery on 01/21/2021 with Dr. Burke; she preformed a breast augmentation with a lift. I didn't go in with any expectations because I didn't want to be disappointed. Prior to meeting with Dr. Burke, I met with another surgeon who made me feel really ugly about myself and told me my expectations were too high. This surgeon used terminology that a lot of people would find difficult to hear and told me that my shoulders were too wide for any implant to appear pleasing. Dr. Burke and her staff never used any termology that was degrading and she assured me that the breast augmentation and lift could be done and have beautiful results. I'm so pleased with the results because everyday I do feel beautiful. I have the confidence to wear a bikini top and have intercourse without wearing a bra or a t-shirt. The scars do not bother me at all. I healed a lot better than I thought I would and she's also pleased with how well I've healed. I have no sensation in my left nipple but it responds when I'm cold or when it's stimulated. Recovery was incredibly easy and her staff was happy to address any questions or concerns I had.
I've been researching getting a breast augmentation since a little after my son was born due to them deflating after breastfeeding and 50lb weight loss. I finally had my consultation last week and my dr recommended 485cc and 520cc high profile gummy bear implants to fix some asymmetry and a donut lift. Surgery is scheduled for March 12th and I am so excited it finally happening! Updated on 9 Feb 2021: Just some before photos to look back on. Currently 130lbs, size 4, 34B. Tank top photos are with a padded bra. Updated on 22 Feb 2021: Just a small update on my process! I got surgical clearance by my PCP last week and had my pre-op appointment this morning. My PS required I get cleared no more than 30 days before surgery so I’m glad that done and out of the way now. I received all of my pre/post surgery directions and information long with my prescriptions for medication. Surgery has also been paid for so now I just have to try to be patient and wait for the big day! I am going to try to update everyone on my surgery and recovery journey with photos as much as possible. I find the detailed reviews on here so helpful so I want to do the same in case it helps someone else! Updated on 10 Mar 2021: Just wanted to add a few more before photos to look back on. Sports bra with no padding. Updated on 12 Mar 2021: I was scheduled to come in at 730 this morning and was out under general anesthesia by 8ish?. Woke up with no nausea but a quit a bit of pain. I was home by noon and told I could start taking my pain meds around 245pm so I napped until then. Once I woke up the pain dropped to about 4/10 and down to 2/10 once the pills kicked in. I’ve been able to move around the house but can’t really lift my arms. Luckily my husband has take some time off of work to here with me for the next few days. I’ll keep you posted on the pain but so far it’s been manageable with the meds! I definitely feel a lot of pressure and weight form the implants but it’s getting better. I haven’t seen my breast without the bar yet but I love them so far and can’t wait to see them drop and fluff in the next few months. I know I haven’t disclosed my surgeon yet but I am waiting until my first follow up appointment on the 17th before I do a full review on her! Updated on 14 Mar 2021: Got to shower today and see my new breasts without the bra on! They are sitting very high and tight which is uncomfortable but the overall pain has gotten better. I woke up last night around midnight hurting pretty badly, like an 8/10 so I took more meds and went back to sleep. Woke up this morning at only 2/10 and decided to switch to Tylenol instead and the pain has stayed consistently low. I feel better moving around today too. I can’t wait to see how my nipples look! Updated on 17 Mar 2021: I had found Dr. Renee Burke while searching for a PS online. I followed her on Instagram and loved her work. I had my consultation with her on Feb. 8 2021 and I knew instantly that I wanted her to be my doctor after speaking to her and her staff. She has an all female team and the surgery is done right at her office. Everyone that I spoke to was kind and seemed to really enjoy their work. They were always there to answer any questions and did a wonderful job keeping me informed through the whole process, I never felt pushed or rushed while I was there. Dr. Burke and her team have been supportive and reassuring every time I have seen them. I highly highly recommend her! I had my first follow up appointment this morning and the girls are still sitting high and tight but that was to be expected. I was given me stretches to do to help eased the tightness so hopefully that helps. Other than that, the pain of pretty minimal besides when I first wake up in the morning, otherwise it's just swollen and uncomfortable. Just trying to be patient as they heal. Updated on 25 Mar 2021: I had my second follow up yesterday and everything is looking good! Tapes and stitches are out with no issues. My nipples are a little irritated from the tape being removed but other than that I feel pretty normal and will be starting scar treatments tomorrow. The heavy and tight feeling is gone now and I’ve been cleared to wear regular bras without underwire, start doing light workouts, and sleeping on my side now. Still have a long way to drop and fluff but I’m happy with the results and progress so far! Updated on 7 Apr 2021: Just thought I’d add another update since it’s been almost 2 weeks since my last one. The implants are dropping and fluffing nicely and looking more round and natural every week. I am loving how they are looking so far! I went and purchased one new bra and I’m measuring at a 34DD right now. I’m avoiding buying a bunch until I’m closer to the 10-12 week mark though. The only thing I am not 100% happy with is one of my nipples did stretch a little at the top so they are uneven at the moment. My right one is healing perfecting but the left isn’t doing as well. I noticed it around the 2.5-3 week mark but it doesn’t seem to have gotten bigger since than so that’s a small relief. I have a virtual check in with the doctor’s office at 6 weeks to see how everything I healing and then an in-person visit at the 3 month mark and we will discuss any revisions needed then. Overall I am very happy with the process and how involved my doctors office is with my post op recovery. I’ll update again after my 6 week check in! Updated on 26 Apr 2021: I had my 6 week follow up over Zoom with one of the nurses this morning. Everything is looking good implant wise, they have dropped and fluffed a lot over these last few weeks but still have a bit to go. I am back to working out normally and don’t feel any pain or discomfort at all. My areola’s have also evened out more in terms of size which I am happy about. The nurse did mention that we may want to consider doing a scar revision on my left nipple where I had some pulling away. She made a note for the doctor to discuss my options at my 3 month follow up but we may need to wait until 6 months post op to do the procedure if I decide to do it. So for right now I am just letting it heal and will see how I feel then. Overall, I’m still very happy with the procedure and how my breast are looking and feeling. I posted my before and after photo side by side and wow! Talk about a difference! I feel so much more confident now and love how they fit me. Updated on 7 May 2021: Hi! Back with another update but not much to report. The area around my nipple has now healed enough for me to start using scar patches so I’ve been trying to wear one on that area as much as possible to hopefully help the scar look less noticeable. These are just silicone ones I got from he drugstore. Other than that, I feel really good and I am loving how my breasts look! Every week they drop and round out a little more which makes me so happy. They don’t seem as large and fake to me anymore so that’s good too! Just wanted to hop on here and post some updated photos of my progress. Updated on 9 Jun 2021: Hi all! It’s been a little bit since I hopped on here so I wanted to post a short update and photos. I feel like my implants have fully dropped now and I am loving them! They looks so much more natural than I thought they would and I love the shape and size! I can finally wear bikinis and feel confident and sexy for the first time in years. My areola have evened out nicely and the scar is healing. I’m still using scar patches and cream on all of my incisions and will consider doing a scar revision where my areola stretched but I’m not making any decisions until my follow up appointment at the end of the month. Overall, I am so so so glad I finally decided to have the surgery and have no regrets! Updated on 6 Jul 2021: I had my 3 month post op appointment with Dr. Burke last week and everything with my implants look great! We did discuss doing a scar revision on my left areola and I have decided to go ahead with it but I want to wait until the fall/winter to do it. This summer is so busy and I don’t want to deal with healing all over again right now. Luckily Dr. Burke is willing to do it at no additional charge so I just have to call the office and schedule the appointment when I’m ready to get it done. It doesn’t bother me too much short term but I’m glad it is something she is willing and able to fix! Updated on 12 Oct 2021: Hi all! I’ve been MIA for a while but wanted to pop on here and post an update and new photos. Everything is going great with my implants and my scars have lightened a lot these last few months. I have not gotten a chance to do my scar revision yet because I started a new job and life has been busy so it’s been more difficult to get a day off to get it done. I will get around to doing it sooner than later but just waiting for life to calm down a bit. Other than that, everything has settled nicely and I totally love my new breasts!
I found Dr. Burke after doing research looking for a surgeon to perform a breast reduction. After reading about Dr. Burke, the reviews and testimonials were right on. She is the best! She is open, honest and realistic about your procedure. I am 6 weeks post op and feel & look great. The first thing I said after my 1 week check in was, I should have done this years ago! Immediate relief of back & neck pain, and huge confidence in my body image. Everyone I dealt with at the practice was courteous, kind & friendly. Looking at other services now too, I will definitely be back! Thank you Dr. Burke!
I am so happy with the decision I finally made to have breast augmentation and Dr. Renee Burke helped make this an easy decision. Her staff helped me pick out the best choice for me and they were so accommodating. They answered all questions and concerns I had, and still do. I wish I found her years ago. I highly recommend Dr. Burke and her staff.
I'm a 53 year old female, fit and athletic, and live a young and active lifestyle. I was at that mid-life moment when I wanted my facial features to reflect how young I felt on the inside. From the first visit, Dr. Burke listened carefully to all of my concerns, and took the time to review all options available to me. We developed a plan together that included a neck lift, lower facelift, fat transfer under my eyes, and a PlasmaPen treatment on my upper and lower lids. I could not be happier with my results! The very next day after my surgery when the bandages were removed, my neck and face looked amazing. The symmetry and contour lines of my face and neck that Dr. Burke achieved is incredible. It's now been 2 weeks, and my eyes are healing perfectly. They already look beautiful, smooth, no lines. I can't believe how young I look. Dr. Burke and her team are truly the best. They are professional, talented, caring and make you feel special and appreciated. I highly recommend this practice for any cosmetic procedure you may be considering. Updated on 30 Jun 2020: I'm sad to say that the fat grafting I had done by Dr. Burke turned out horrible. She put in way too much, and it wasn't done correctly. When I asked her to take it out surgically, she was reluctant to do so, and suggested that I "try" some other methods over the course of 2 months to see if it would solve the problem. I ended up getting a second opinion, and had to have a lower blepharoplasty and another minimally invasive procedure after that, just to get rid of all the fat and make my lower eyelids look normal again. It's been 4 long months since the original fat grafting and I still look swollen and bruised from the revision procedures, so I have yet to see the final results. This has been an unbelievably mentally stressful situation, and I still can't be seen in public without glasses on. Do NOT have eyelid fat grafting done by Dr. Burke. It's not worth the risk of looking permanently disfigured if it goes wrong.
This is a question we are asked often. There is not a right or wrong answer. If you are unsure when you are getting pregnant and you are not happy with your breasts it is totally safe to move forward with a breast augmentation. Could your breasts change with pregnancy and breast feeding? The answer is yes they could. However, there are options that you have down the road to help correct the shape of the breast without necessarily replacing the implants. Some women will move forward with breast augmentation and then have their children and breast feed and years later come back for a small breast lift to help with the shape of the breasts. I would seek out a board certified plastic surgeon in your area and have a consultation to explore your options.
From the photos enclosed your breasts are noticeably different. The nipples are sitting in different positions and the shape is different. I would seek out a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in breasts to have an in-person consultation with to explore your options and get a realistic explanation of what is achievable with surgery.
In our office we do not offer this type of incision. This incision often widens over time and doesn't heal the best. This is then seen in bathing suits, tank tops, and dresses. In our office we use a IMF incision which is located in the crease of the breast. The only way this incision is seen is if you put your arms up over your head.
From the photos enclosed you would benefit from a breast augmentation and a mastopexy (breast lift). The augmentation would help add volume to your upper pole of the breasts and the lift would give your breasts a more youthful look. I would seek out a board certified plastic surgeon in your area for a full consultation.
Based on the photos enclosed I would recommend a breast augmentation with a mastopexy (breast lift). I think this would fill out your upper pole and help you achieve a more youthful look to your breasts. I would reach out to a board certified plastic surgeon in your area for a full consultation.
