Should I have my implants removed before or after having another child?

Thank you for your question.  You can remove your implants now or after your next pregnancy.  However don't expect the changes in your breast during pregnancy to improve your breast shape after removal of implants.  The question of  when to remove your implants is best answered by how strongly you wish to remove them.  Talk with your plastic surgeon regarding your options for surgery.  Best wishes.

Every pregnancy may change your breast shape and size. if you are planning to have another child fairly soon, I would suggest waiting until after your last pregnancy and breast feeding before having the implants removed. Otherwise, you might need a lift to correct the shape after that last pregnancy and have an additional surgery besides the removal.

Removing the implants and then becoming pregnant will not improve the shape of the breasts.  Typically the breasts undergo changes during pregnancy and breastfeeding that could result in sagging.  

Hello and thank you for your question.  I recommend waiting until you are finished w family planning , let your breasts go back to where they would be naturally, and then have them removed.

Thanks for your questions.Essentially, I would recommend that you have your procedure after you have finished having children.Pregnancy can cause a number of changes to your breasts and this can really affect the results of surgery and often may need additional surgery to correct sagging.After you have undergone pregnancy and your breasts are back at a settled size then it will be much easier to assess the best option for surgery in order to improve your breast shape without the risk of it changing again. Hope this helps

Breast shape will not improve after implant removal and then pregnancy will not improve the shape.  Typically creates more sag in the tissues afterwards.  Hopefully this help.

Thank you for the question. I do not think there is an absolute "right or wrong" answer here. Much will depend on how strong your desire is to have a breast implants removed soon. 

 The advantage of having breast implants removed after completion of pregnancies is that your plastic surgeon will be able to advise you whether or not additional surgery (such as breast lifting) may be necessary (once your breasts have reached a "steady-state" after completion of pregnancies).   In other words, having breast surgery (including breast implant removal) done after completion of pregnancies may help minimize the total number of breast operations you undergo

I think if you are considering having more children, and you haven't had issues with your implants over the past two pregnancies, you should probably wait until you are finished having children to get the implants removed. With each pregnancy, the breast tissue can change, and it's hard to know how your breast size and appearance will look after you are finished breast feeding. Without seeing pictures, it is hard to tell your exact situation - but my guess is that you may require a breast lift after having children and having the implants removed. 
Rather than have one surgery now to get the implants out, and another surgery in a couple years for a breast lift, I would wait until you finish childbearing and have all the issues dealt in one surgery.

It doesn’t really matter if you remove them before or after the pregnancy.  Since you are sure you want them out, there is no need to wait.
