After a rhinoplasty how long until I will be able to breath out of nose?

Typically most patients can breathe pretty well 7 days after nose surgery, once they have been cleaned out in the office. Full breathing result is usually seen at 1-3 months  

Typically most patients take a week or two in our practice to hear form our patients that they can breathe comfortably through the nose.  Be sure to discuss with your board certified plastic surgeon exactly what your goals are, and how reliably they can be expected to be achieved.

After a nose job without packing, your nose will feel a little stuffy after a rhinoplasty for 1-2 weeks. Using saline drops can help moisten the airway, keeping your head elevated can help decrease swelling, and taking steroids (if you had your nose broken during the surgery to reposition bones) will help decrease swelling as well.
