I’m 27 and have a little bit of a turkey neck. What would be the best procedure to get done?

I don’t know if this is just extra skin or fat but no matter what my weight is it’s always the same. Feel like it could be genetic cause my parents have it. This is something I’ve always been insecure about and would love to fix without doing anything invasive or breaking the bank!

It seems that you can benefit from a liposuction contouring of the neck is  a great option in the right patient, that is a patient with good skin quality and submental fat that is not deep or under the muscle in the neck. 1. micro needling and lasers for texture
2. botox, disport or xeomin to help platysmal bands

Based on these photos it would be hard to decide whether neck/jaw liposuction or liposuction with neck lift (to address deep fat deposits underneath the platysma muscle, is better option. Deep fat deposits are frequent family trait. The difference is in a size of incision underneath your chin 1cm. vs. 5 cm., both well hidden and not an issue at all. Same recovery time (1 week the most), twilight anesthesia. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in neck/face lifts is recommended.

You have a small amount of submental fat. You will benefit from a properly done lower face and neck liposuction. This procedure can actually be done under local anesthesia. However, most patients benefit from a small amount of intravenous sedation. Study potential surgeon's websites and make sure the have before and after images of the procedure you are interested in. Cryolypolysis, Kybella are relatively ineffective methods.

Hello and thank you for your question.  The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  Based on your photographs, you may benefit from submental liposuction and fat grafting into your chin.  This would be less invasive than a chin implant.  This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon.   Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.

Dilligent  everyone is giving you solid advice to consider some neck liposuction.  That approach is fairly straight forward, nominal down time, quicker improvement than Kybella and often less expensive depending on the office. I would suggest you consider some resurfacing of a couple of those fixed lines in your neck to create a better overall result. Everyone is guiding you in the right direction. Best wishes.

I agree with most of my colleagues, Dilligent, that you are likely a great candidate for liposuction of the neck.  The procedure has several benefits over coolsculpting and kybella in your case.  To achieve good results with those techniques multiple treatments would likely be required, and the results would be limited mostly to the central neck.  Liposuction, in contrast, could reduce the submental (central) fat, but also could be used laterally to accentuate jawline definition, which is lacking in your profile images.  While the thought of surgery can be intimidating, know that this procedure can often be performed in the office setting with oral sedation (pills) and local anesthesia, and is usually accomplished in under an hour.  Consider a formal consultation once its safe for all of us to be out and about.  Until then, hope you are practicing every precaution.

The photographs demonstrate a recessive chin profile, and a small amount of fat in the neck. Consider placement of a chin implant  to augment the chin forward for a better jawline. Liposuction of the fat deposits in the neck can accomplish improvement in that area as well. Both procedures can be performed under local or general anesthesia.
