I am 36 and I feel like I have a premature turkey neck! How can I fix the appearance of my neck/profile? (photos)

Thank you for your question.  I do see platysma muscle bands  in you neck  and those bands can be treated with Botox or surgery.  Botox normally last for 3 to 4 months but with time you  eventually need surgery to permanently correct them.

Hello, thank you for your question. Any areas on the face and neck with saggy skin can be treated with FaceTite. This includes the double chin, the neck, the jowls, the jawline and mandible, and marionette lines as well as other areas with deep lines and loose skin.
Patients who opt for Facetite are seeking a more youthful look but do not want to deal with an invasive surgery, the scars of a face lift, or the recovery time.  Results of a face lift typically last about 10 years depending upon the level of undermining, level of support of deeper tissues, and amount of skin removed along with patient dependent factors; Facetite, about five, but it can be combined with Fractora to provide improve results over time. 

At your age, the most reasonable first step is to use boulinum toxin injections (Botox or equivalent) to see if it corrects or solves the problem altogether. If if you have problems swallowing, this would nor be a good choice.The texture and quality of the skin can only be evaluated in consultation. If the skin elasticity is relatively good, a smaller necklift intervention with scars placed under the chin and behind the ears can be a good solution, because you are slim and with a very good jawline contour. A facelift procedure would not add anything to the neck contour.

Based on extent of your "problem" I would consider Botox treatment as a first step; if that does not work to your satisfaction anterior neck lift (platysmaplasty) would be my next choice. In person consultation is recommended. Good luck.

This is a very small neck cord. I understand that you are not happy to have it. Botox can often flatten this neck cord. Seeing a physician injector who knows how to handle this can be surprisingly hard to find. You need between 16 and 30 units of Botox in my estimation. If this does not do every thing you need, then your next option is a surgery called a midline platysmaplasty. It is a small surgery done through an incision under the chin. The edges of the platysma are trimmed and sewed together. Recover is quick. Don't get talked into a facelift, you do not need it yet. 

Your photos show laxity and banding of the anterior neck. You may consider trying Botox injections to reduce the banding of the platysma muscle first as this is a quick, easy, in office procedure with no downtime. Regarding the skin laxity there are a number of treatment options. Non-invasively you could try Ultherapy which is focused ultrasound used to tighten the skin. In office, no downtime.  A minimally invasive option we use in our office is Face Tite. This uses radio frequency delivered through a delicate probe placed under the skin to tighten the skin of the lower face and neck. We use a chin strap for 2 to 3 days after Face Tite and then you can resume most activities.
