I had half a syringe injected under each eye on May 5. Had immediate mild swelling and bruising. Now I'm left with what I know know is the Tyndall effect and some lumpiness under my left eye. I went back to my plastic surgeon May 16 to address these concerns, and he said it could take 4-6 weeks for swelling to go down, and that the darkness would also lessen during this time. He also said because I have freckles, the restylane tends to show more. I'm extremely disappointed to say the least.

Thank you for your question. Typically it takes up to 2 weeks for all swelling and bruising to resolve. Meanwhile you can take Arnica to help resolve bruising faster. If you are unhappy with your results you may the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase. Best of Luck!

I always tell my patients to wait 2 weeks before we can add more filler. It can take time for the post-injection swelling to subside. Always seek treatment from a qualified professional. Good luck!
