I had subcision done with Dr. Ort six weeks ago and couldn’t be more pleased with the results! I had a significant amount of large rolling and boxcar acne scars on both cheeks. These acne scars were about 10 years old, so I was honestly just hoping for moderate improvement. Dr. Ort suggested subcision for the scars along with fillers to add extra lift. The filler we ended up going with was Restylane Lyft and I received about a syringe in each cheek immediately after subcision was done. I am beyond happy with the results and would definitely recommend Dr. Ort! He is very knowledgeable and personable. His entire staff also makes you feel right at home!
Dr. Ort is one of the few people that uses cannulas to inject, instead of needles. What does this mean? Much less bruising and swelling as compared with using syringes. I was shocked at the difference. I always swell and bruise with injectibles and find them quite painful - I don't think I've ever had a bruise with the cannula. Dr. Ort listens carefully to what your goals are and never, ever rushes. He is also a very nice, friendly doctor that makes you feel comfortable and at ease. Dr. Ort also strongly encourages you to call or come back you have any issues with a procedure or feel like you need a follow-up in a few days based on results you see. For example, perhaps you want more filler in a given area. I highly recommend Dr. Ort for all injectibles :-)
Dr. Ort is extremely cautious and meticulous when it comes to services that involve fillers. He approached what concerns I had with great attention to detail and analysis of my face. He also worked with me in regards to previous complications I had had in the past. Overall, he approaches most filler appointments using a cannula which greatly decreases the impact of bruising. He is extremely knowledgeable, conservative and has a great eye. He truly cares for his patients and his whole staff is extremely friendly. I have been seeing him for injectables several times now and couldn’t recommend him more! I am so happy with my results.
Dr. Ort is very skilled at lower eyelids / tear trough fillers. I am happy with the results. I previously had my lower lid fillers done by another doctor in Denver and they turned out horribly. I had to dissolve over several sessions. After dissolving, I felt like my lower eyelids needed some help. Dr. Ort really took his time with me and gave me his true expert opinion. The consultation was very thorough and informative. He was conservative with my filler because of the bad experience I had before. To be honest, I feel a bit under-filled. That’s ok, it’s better than over-filled. I want to go back for more correction once things start becoming normal again with this pandemic.. hopefully that can be sooner than later. For now I am pleased because my eyes look better. Some things that I really appreciate about Dr. Ort: 1) He really took his time examining my face before and during the procedure. The previous doctor I went to did not do that. 2) He uses regular Restalyne for the lower eyelids. 3) He uses a cannula which leaves no bruises or swelling. 4) He injects filler deep under the muscle. 5) He is very friendly! I highly recommend Dr. Ort for filler procedures. Have a consult with him if you are considering this! I know that I will be back in the future. Thank you Dr. Ort! -Sarah Griffin Updated on 25 Jun 2020: There were some people asking for me to upload photos. I had 1 syringe of Restalyne added a week ago for further correction. I think that my troughs are quite deep but I am definitely seeing an improvement. From what I’ve experienced with getting this procedure is that it takes 3-4 weeks for the filler to mature. I like the improvement and I think that once it settles a bit more that it will look even better! Honestly, I am wondering if a little more could be added to the inner corners, but I’m going to be patient and wait for it to fully heal before I decide on that because it can still soften and plump up. Dr. Ort makes the procedure as comfortable as possible. He also knows what he is doing! Trust me, you want an expert when it comes to filled the lower eyelids.
I had subcision and fillers done by Dr Ort a year ago and the results have surpassed my expectations. Having had acne for most of my life, and many deep scars as a result, I’ve tried every treatment out there with minimal changes. Dr Ort provided me with the best results to date and I truly am so grateful. He spent extra time and care during my visit ensuring he hit every scarred area, and honestly have noticed long-lasting improvement. I plan to visit again and would recommend anyone considering Dr Ort to absolutely schedule with him as he is caring and highly skilled. Updated on 15 Apr 2021: Here’s some photos. The after is 2 years at this point (on the left side). I’d be interested in doing another session when I’m able to get even better results but overall my acne scars have become so much less of a daily concern.
As a health columnist who regularly covers skin treatments, I researched Denver area providers extensively before choosing Dr. Ort. There are a lot of impressive folks in CO, but Dr. Ort's credentials and media presence stood out. I found him charming and thorough, and my consultation was relaxed and well paced. He's lovely to talk to, and his staff are professional. The initial wait for a consult was longer than I'd have liked (a month), but I have since had no problems getting regular appointments. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of services I've received - well worth the wait and research. He is meticulous, talented, errs on the side of caution and it is no surprise he is so highly reviewed. Those seeking injectables in particular would benefit from Dr. Ort's expertise. He is uses a cannula to reduce bruising, and has a great deal of insight in helping patients make sense (and a plan) of their expectations - a skill I feel few doctors possess.
I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Ort for fillers after reading his great reviews on this site and I’m so glad I did. His approach was to provide a natural look and fill in volume loss. He believes less is better for a beginner like me, and if needed, we could always add more. He took his time and was very gentle. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend Dr Ort for fillers and Botox.
Received filler for under eye hollows from Dr. Ort. I believe his technique has made my results great. There was a little bit of swelling, small dark spots at insertion point, and slight lumpiness the first day or so, but results have been amazing as swelling has gone down. I will probably go back in 6 months for half a syringe just to fill the inner eye trough a bit more. This filler has changed how I feel about my face, it looks quite better and makeup sits much easier! If you are considering under eye filler, you need to be extremely picky with who you decide to inject the filler. Dr. Ort is very knowledgeable, and constantly checks his work and seeks affirmation from his staff. He is conservative in his approach, which is comforting and what I am looking for. He was also training a medical student which lets me know he both is knowledgeable and cares about future medical professionals.
I have had a volume loss from my mid face section after dieting and being on a tough workout program so I went to Dr Ort’s office And I can’t be happier! He never rushes anything , listens to my concerns , takes time to figure out what needs to be done , and then starts injecting, he uses cannula which gives great results ,minimal down time, very little swelling and minimal bruising if ever His team are amazing they are professional, friendly and caring, Jean and Sonya are awesome , it literally feel like I am hanging out with my family and the results are great everytime !
3 months prior to seeing Dr. Ort, I had gone to a plastic surgeon for filler. I have hollowed checks that I wanted filled out. I was very disappointed and had an uneven lumpy effect from the injection/injector. The plastic surgeons office begrudgingly tried to correct the problem, but the lumpiness remained and I felt very self conscience. I chose Dr. Ort., a top rated doctor, after reading many positive reviews on REALSELF. His demeanor and approach put me at ease immediately. He chose the correct product and it was obvious that he was familiar and experienced with all aspects of injecting such placement/bone structure- previous fillers, etc. I couldn't be happier with the result and would recommend anyone to his office for a consult.
Thank you for submitting the photos. Botox to the glabella (frown lines) seems like an obvious place to start. I also see flatness in the mid-face which could be addressed with an HA filler. Also HA filler to the jawline would likely provide better definition there. I would not recommend doing anything too aggressive at age 29. Of course, it would be necessary to see you in person to provide a definitive recommendation. Best, Dr. Ort
I would suggest starting with HA fillers. Those are the safest and most widely used fillers. I strongly recommend that you do not use Bellafill as this is a permanent filler with higher risk. Best, Dr. Ort
You could try another brand of botulinum toxin such as Xeomin which may have a lower risk of resistance. Xeomin is ultra-purified to remove the accessory proteins which are bound to the toxin. These proteins are not necessary for therapeutic efficacy but increase the chance of developing antibodies to the product. Resistance to Botox has no bearing on your response to fillers. Best, Dr. Ort
It’s hard to say from the single photo, but you might benefit from TCA CROSS done in expert hands. Best, Dr. Ort
I would need to see you in person to give an exact recommendation, but you would likely benefit from filler to the mid-face (anterior cheeks and possibly tear troughs) as well as filler to the lower cheeks. Filler that I like to use include the Restylane family of hyaluronic fillers as well as Radiesse or Sculptra. Our goal with fillers is facial rejuvenation and volume restoration while maximizing safety and providing natural-appearing results. Best, Dr. Ort
