How long will it take for my boobs to look and feel "normal" after a boob job?

 It will take 3-6 months for you to feel comfortable having implants in your body and for them to settle. This time allows for you to physically and psychologically adapt to your new body image. There are many variables that contribute to a breast augmentation's final result. Preop size and shape, IMF location, location of the implants and type of implant. Patients heal at different rates and each breast will sometimes heal at a different rate. Then reassess final result at 6 months.





The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.

Your breast should look pretty good straight away, but quite swollen for 3 to 6 weeks. This also depends on what size and shape implants you choose. Large implants take a bit longer.

Thanks for your question. It depends on the type of implant and whether it is placed below or above the muscle, but for most breast augmentation patients the initial swelling resolves within 2-3 weeks.  The soft tissues tend to remain stiff or firm feeling for 2-3 months, and sometimes up to 6 months or longer, especially if the muscle remains swollen.  Expect to be comfortable being more exposed within 3 months or so (maybe much sooner).
