It is not unusual to have more wrinkle on the left side of the face. That's because the left side gets all the sun exposure when you are in a car. There's no doubt n my mind that a facelift in your case would be the ideal procedure for you. If will tighten you neck and smooth out your skin. You are an excellent candidate.
Deeply etched lines and wrinkles are best treated with laser resurfacing, with the CO2 laser being the gold standard for delivering the best results. The treatment is well tolerated with downtimes in the 5-7 day period with resolving redness/pinkness typically in 4-8 weeks. The attached link provides more information.I hope this helps.
Hello glamma54,Thanks for your question. To make the biggest change in your sleep wrinkles, you might want to consider laser resurfacing. Other options include medium depth chemical peeling and microneedling with PRP.Radiofrequency (RF) skin tightening is always an option.Other than these options, medical skin care and sunblock are your best options, but they will take time to improve the skin and the improvements are not as aggressive.Drink water, get sleep, increase your Vitamin C, and avoid smoking for best results with any treatment.I would recommend that you consult with a skin care specialist (Dermatologist, Plastic Surgeon, Facial Plastic Surgeon) who has a lot of experience in aesthetic treatments of the skin for a discussion of your options.Good luck,Dr. Shah
I would say the most effective treatment of deep facial wrinkles would be laser resurfacing or a deep chemical peel. Surgery would not significantly improve the wrinkles but could help reduce sagging neck skin.
Hi, thanks for posting your pictures and for your inquiry. I would suggest for you to have a face and neck lift which will help you get rid of most of your lines, adding resurfacing laser or chemical treatments will help even more. Please make sure that you and your surgeon are on the same page. Don't forget to discuss all your concerns, options and expectations thoroughly. Have a safe and pleasant PS Journey!Respectfully,Dr. Jaime Campos-Leon
Facial wrinkles can be improved drastically with variety of facial skin resurfacing such as phenol peel and laser resurfacing. Smoking and sun exposure are two of the most important causes, which should avoided.
These lines may be worsened by sleep, but I they look like they are mostly fine lines assocated with aging. In my hands, a CO2 laser resurfacing procedure would give the best reuslts to smooth and soften those linesbest of luck
A surgical facelift procedure can accomplish tightening loose facial and neck skin which will help remove some of the wrinkles. Once the excess skin has been tightened, the residual wrinkles can be addressed with laser resurfacing procedure.
Hello Glamma54,Looking at your photo those deep wrinkles are very well etched into your skin. These are best improved with a type of facial resurfacing. The two better options for facial resurfacing include chemical peels and lasers, although dermabrasion is also an option. Regardless of the type used, you would benefit most from a deep treatment. The benefit of this is it will significantly help the overall quality and texture of your skin including your wrinkles. The drawback to a deep treatment is it does have more down time than most other treatments. This also will only address the quality and texture of the skin. It will not remove the excess skin (although there will be a few millimeters of tightening with just resurfacing) as this is done with a face lift procedure. I would recommend you consult with a facial plastic surgeon or a plastic surgeon who does a lot of facial work. This way you can learn about your options and determine how you would like to proceed.I hope this helps and good luck.
A facelift will not correct superficial wrinkling of the face. Your best option is combined laser resurfacing using the fractional 1540 erbium and 2940 erbium laser is in combination. See the link below:
It is way too early in the healing process to make a judgement. Your bruising and swelling are more than some, and less than others. The neck area is often "lumpy" to some degree for a month or two, depending upon what was done in the neck area. Recovery depends upon what was done and how ex...
As per the location you describe at the sides of the neck they are not the submaxillary glands, which are located in the corresponding cell in the underchin.
I'm sorry to read that you're still feeling such bothersome discomfort at this point after your surgery. In my experience, it's very uncommon for a facelift patient to still have permanent sutures in place a month after surgery. Those should have been removed a couple of weeks ago. But perhaps...
