North American and European trained, and in practice since 2001, my main aesthetic interests include 3-D rejuvenation with fillers and grafting, facial surgery and body contouring, with a special niche for facelift, body implants and post-weight loss surgery.
I visited Visage with Dr. Dupere for two feminization surgical procedures in 2023 both absolute successes. I had done extensive research with surgeons in Canada, the USA, Spain and Mexico and ultimately decided on Dr. Dupere after seeing his work on two friends of mine and the artistry and quality I knew he was the right choice. A bonus that he was local. My first surgery was a breast augmentation (565cc moderate profile plus). I had some nice development already from my medical transition on hormones but I wanted more fulness and proportion given how my body had developed since birth on testosterone. So so happy with the size, the width and shape, especially how they are positioned on my body makes the proportions and looks so beautiful both with clothes on and especially clothes off. Which was the most important for me since I wanted to feel joy and peace in myself and how I felt finally in my body. My second surgery was about seven months after my breast augmentation. This was a multiple procedure facial feminization surgery (brow and forehead work; brow lift; lip lift and lower face and neck facelift). I went in very clear with my expectations. I wanted my existing face feminized as it was, less beauty and more focus on feminization first. My face softened but not reconstructed and completely changed as many trans women sometimes choose to do for many important reasons, often trauma from years and decades of agonizing dysphoria. I knew many surgeons around the world could create absolutely exquisite outcomes. But over and over I felt that while they were beautiful and exceptionally feminine often the unique characteristics of a face became often generic and conformist versions of the beauty standard. While I had no doubt Dr. Dupere was and is fully capable of the same outcomes or better I wanted more artistry rather than a manufactured generic face of beauty. I wanted my face but feminine. And like anything specific it often required more artistry and delicacy and so I wanted the best. And I absolutely adore my face now. For the procedures I chose, based on Dr Dupere’s recommendations i’m just astounded by how comfortable, contented, joyful and at home I feel and what I see reflected back to me. It’s a peace and joy I never thought I’d ever get to experience in this lifetime. Officially I am done my medical transition but it’s possible there are future considerations and procedures if opportunity arises. Any future procedures I will be without doubt returning to the Visage Clinic. My gratitude is endless. Thank you for everything that your clinic has done for me. Jennifer and Bruna are the most amazing advisors and wonderful humans to interact with. Rachel and Jay you have been wonderful nurses for anything I’ve needed before surgery, during recovery and after surgery. And all the other staff that have helped me in my procedures everything has been A+. Thank you again and I love you all! Hannah Kamphof
I had 2 lipedema surgeries at Visage with Dr. DuPere! He is the best choice I could have ever made! He changed my life. My experience there was the best. Bruna and Jenn were always amazing, and also Ray and all the rest of the team were wonderful and increíble helpful. Of course, the final result was incredible! That’s why I decided to undergo my second surgery without thinking twice.
Visage Clinic is excellent and Dr. DuPere is a genius. I was absolutely thrilled with my liposuction and fat transfer surgery results and there has been a significant improvement in my self-confidence related to my body. My experience was further enhanced by the very wonderful staff. Every time that I visited, I was warmly greeted by Bruna and Jennifer who ensured that I felt welcomed and comfortable. My follow-up care with the nurses, Ray and Jay, as well as my lymphatic massages with Esther was thorough and effective as they are as knowledgeable as they are caring. Patients are definitely in safe and trusting hands at Visage Clinic, and I would highly recommend its services.
I will not go anywhere else. Dr Dupere and his team are truly the Rolls Royce of cosmetic surgery. From face to body I couldn’t be happier. Dr Dupere did my facial feminization surgery and the results are perfect. He’s such a sweetheart and he listens carefully to what you want and delivers realistic results that are stunning! After my face i decided to get lipo and my butt done the results are amazing! I couldn’t be happier with the curves and the flat stomach i now have. Just like with any surgery take enough time to recover and listen to the instructions that they clearly explain to you. Jay, Jennifer, Williams and the whole team of nurses are so professional and yes you pay a little more but at least you get it done right the first time and dont have to do revisions. The doctor is super friendly and you can literally ask him about anything. Save your money, get it done right the first time and trust me dont cheap out by doing it abroad especially when it comes to your face and body….revisions are always more complicated. My nose and chin were corrected by him as previous doctors did not deliver good results, I wish i knew about Dr Dupere from the beginning. Thank you Dr and your team for everything, I am so happy with my results and I do recommend Dr Dupere to anyone looking for a good result from the first time truly! Don’t hesitate in the consultation he takes his time and is worth every second! If you like what you see don’t hesitate to mention my name… Love, Maya goodluck
I'll upload before and after pictures later, but I wanted to write a review of my experience with Dr Marc and this clinic, and his team. I think I first consulted here last year, July or August, and I was undecided on if I wanted to get a BBL or butt implants or both at one time. I was 155 lbs, not overweight, but definitely a full size large. I've always had a bit of a butt and a bit of an hourglass shape, but gained 20-30 lbs or so during covid. I wasn't sure if I had enough fat for a BBL, and I wasn't sure I even wanted to get rid of my extra pounds. I didn't really mind the weight gain. I just wanted a bigger butt! I originally booked in for XL implants in December, and actually changed the surgical date multiple times, in Jan, and early March - but ended up changing my mind a week before surgery to get a BBL instead. My reason for this was some worry about contour of implants in a subfascial placement - and I discussed with Dr Marc about how BBL would put some more fat in that area, so when I come back for implants, the implant would be more efficiently disguised. I have always wanted a more DRAMATIC/not natural look, so I knew my desired result would likely require multiple surgeries. So, I will still be back for implants at some point. :) Dr Marc was very patient with me as I flip flopped and went back and forth on what would be the best option. I came in for maybe 2-3 consults before the surgical date. Nurse Jay also spent many hours talking to me about all my questions (of which there were many lol). I am also a special case and have some strange/unpredictable medical allergies (anaphylaxis) and was paranoid about anesthesia and injections surgery day. The clinic coordinated with my allergist and I also sent a lot of my medical documentation including full cardiac workup, GP physical, etc. The team was really excellent and everything went very very well! I was the last client on the day I went, and was required to stay overnight. I resisted this but I'm very glad I did it as I WAS A WHOLE MESS and would not have been able to do anything for myself. My nurses were FANTASTIC, especially Gloria I think her name was, I wanted her to adopt me, LOL. Caren I think was the other overnight nurse and she was great. I saw Dr Marc briefly the next morning and he was very kind and seemed very happy with how the procedure went. I hired someone to take care of me the first week post op, which was needed. Would recommend ppl doing the same. My post op nurse has been Raechel (I may be spelling that wrong) and she has also been amazing and so nice. I am now 6 weeks post op and very happy with my results. The swelling has unfortunately gone down LOL but I am soo pleased with what we achieved with the fat that was available to work with. Excited to come back for round 2 of BBL or butt implants. Likely butt implants since I doubt I'll have enough fat. Very thankful to this whole team. Happy to answer any questions if anyone has them!!
I’m 24 years old, I had a blepharoplasty with dr dupere and I am happy with my results, it’s very natural looking and that’s exactly what I wanted! I couldn’t fully shut my eyes for about a month and that scared me but after 2 months they can…(there is a tiiiiiiny opening but with more time i believe it will close, from what I’ve read) the scars look very nice too at 2 months, I can’t image how seamless they will look at 6! I was an out of town patient and the whole process went very smoothly, overall Im happy with my new eyes
I had my butt implants last week. I chose 400 cc after much deliberation. The result looks very natural on my 5'3 frame, so if you're looking for more drama, definitely recommend the 490 cc. But this size is good for me, at my age (40), and being an avid runner, I wanted something light. No real comments on the surgery, everything was done very well, I hardly remember it, went very smoothly. The clinic is gorgeous and the staff is very professional and kind. Jay in particular was very helpful and everyone is responsive to email questions. If you're in Ontario and thinking about butt implants, I definitely recommend you meet with Dr Du Pere at Visage. Updated on 11 Nov 2021: 2 weeks later and life is slowly starting to get back to normal. 400 ccs is a very natural look! If you want a booty booty, go a bit bigger. But I'm planning to continue weight training and running so I kept it small....
I had a Chin augmentation couple weeks ago and it was the best decision I have ever made in my life. I was very insecure about my weak chin due to genetics so Chin Implant was something that I have always wanted to do. I looked into some surgeons in my city, had multiple consultation with different surgeons in my city but none of them understood exactly what and how I wanted it. I stumbled upon Dr. Marc Dupere through google and I knew I had to book a consultation. I had a Virtual(FaceTime) Consultation with Dr. Dupere and I felt like I was at home. He was very humble, honest with his experience, kind, understanding and very comprehensive with what I wanted. I knew I had to get the surgery from him. I Booked my surgery on the day of my consultation. The receptionists, Bruna, Margarida, and Jennifer were very nice and understanding. If I had any questions, they would answer them promptly. I love them. I flew to Toronto for my surgery and met Dr. Dupere the day before my surgery to meet him in person. We went over the Surgery procedure one more time and he reassured me that everything will be fine. Everything was fine. Surgery went great. The recover went just as he told me. The implant was placed EXACTLY where he said it will be. He gave me his Private number to message or call him if I had any more questions after the surgery or if anything happened. The one thing that I always looked for in a surgeon was if I was in GOOD HANDS. Dr. Marc Dupere Is DEFINITELY the one to go to! Highly reccommend! :)
I am a 22 year old Female – 5 feet tall, about 125lb. I got breast augmentation at Visage Clinic with Dr. Marc DuPere back in June 2021. My main concern with this procedure was that I was scared that my breasts were not going to look natural at all. I was afraid of them being too high up, hard and far apart from each other. Essentially, I was afraid that I was going to have breasts like Regina George’s “Cool Mom” from Mean Girls. However, Dr. Marc DuPere eased my anxiety and assured me that it would not be like this. I trusted him entirely!!! I wanted to get breast augmentation surgery because I was flatter than a wall. I was very insecure about my breast size; I felt that it was not proportionate to my body. I contemplated on going out of the country to get this procedure done, but listening to all the horror stories and seeing very disappointing results, I decided to stay local and check out Dr. Marc DuPere. The entire process was smooth as butter, easier than counting to ten, and as comfortable as an expensive memory foam mattress. Dr. Marc explained the entire procedure: the benefits and the possible complications, how the procedure works and the difference between all the possible entry points, types of techniques, the silicone that we were going to use, different types of silicones, how it was going to go on the date of the surgery (from the moment I arrived to the clinic, to the 3 month checkpoint), things to avoid… you name it, he talked about it! I am someone who asks 10 million questions about everything – especially when it comes to anything medical related (it’s the nurse in me). I specifically stressed to him that I was chasing a NATURAL look, showed him a couple of photos of celebrities’ breasts I adored, and described my desired look to the T… And let me tell you……. He DELIVERED. I am IN LOVE with my new chest, they are so natural in every aspect: The size, the feeling, the look. The sizing is perfect and proportionate to my body; they feel so real, my nipples do not look stretched out, and the scarring is pretty much gone. I usually scar really bad, but they gave me specific after-care instructions for the scarring (including polysporin & bio-oil usage), as well as recommended a gel-cream to use for a few months. I was considering laser at first but, I truly believe that I do not need it now. To say that I feel more confident and beautiful is an UNDERSTATEMENT. I feel so sexy, and all my clothes look 10 million percent better, but most importantly: My body looks proportionate, thanks to Dr. DuPere! Would I recommend this procedure? 100%, but, only if it’s done with Dr. DuPere. Thank you so much, I couldn’t ask for anything better.
Hello, and thank you for reading my objective review of Dr. Marc Dupere and the team at Visage Clinic, Toronto. In the following, you will read nothing but positives about my experiences in their care. Dr. Dupere and team recently performed a unique, uncommon cosmetic FUE hair transplant for me. I am male, middle aged. Many years ago, I had a cosmetic procedure performed by a different cosmetic surgeon. (Not Visage) The results of that procedure were mixed. The goal of the procedure was achieved; however, I was left with an excessively large, unsightly, uneven, and in one area, crater-like scar. No surgeon can achieve perfect results always. After extensive research, I decided to speak to cosmetic surgeons about the potential to improve the appearance of this scar that left me with a feeling of self-consciousness that many can relate to, generally speaking. 10 years ago or so, Dr. Dupere excised the scar, and achieved a positive cosmetic result. I was quite happy with everything, especially with how professional, talented, and caring Marc, and the entire team were at their former North Toronto location, one of two at that time. Fast forward to 2020. I learn about FUE transplants and their efficacy. I wonder if we could possibly take donor hair and move it elsewhere, other than a thinning head, and cover up the now excised scar near male genitalia. I spoke to several doctors about this potential procedure as well. The best decision I made was to work with a cosmetic surgeon, rather than a regular hair transplant doctor. Of course I wanted to work with Marc because I already knew how special of a doctor he was and is. Nobody would be better fit for me, on a procedure such as this. He and his team were confident they could achieve an exceptional result. I was exceedingly skeptical that FUE transplanted hair would successfully grow over my scar, but if I at least improved overall density, I would be quite satisfied, I rationalized. My most thorough research showed that doctors around the globe have had mixed results with this type of attempt. However, those doctors are not Marc and team. My scar had been sliced into deeply, on 3 different occasions. How could hair possibly regrow there? Well, it did. The team impressed upon me during the procedure that they used exceeding skill which was needed based on the history of that skin area. Perhaps that expertise was a difference maker. It takes a year to 1.5 years for final result on a procedure like this, but now, after 5 months I can confidently say that the result has exceeded my expectations beyond comprehension! It seems as though 100% transplanted hair was achieved. Marc and his team achieved the best case scenario result, regardless of numbers. I could not be happier. I couldn’t appreciate their efforts more. When I first met Dr. Dupere 10 years ago, he was well respected. Since that time, he has continued to humbly prove himself as a world class artist and surgeon. He is also a sweet, kind, caring gentleman. He is surrounded by special people who genuinely care...people who will go above and beyond to help you improve your quality of life. That is what matters. We have just one life. Live your best life! Peace and love to everyone out there!
Thank you for your question. Nutrients and vitamins important too hair health include vitamin A, B (biotin and B5), C, D, E, fish oils, zinc and iron; all of those are often present in a healthy diet. They will help in strengthening your current hair.To stimulate growth of living hair follicules, one must stimulate the blood flow; think of a hair as a plant that needs water. Minoxidil daily works in many individuals and regular PRP (platelet rich plasma) and/or nanofat grafting/injections, along with light therapy, have been showed to also contribute to hair growth and hair health.Hope this helps!Kind regards,Dr. Marc DuPéré, aesthetic plastic surgeon
Thank you for your questions.Experience is for sure important and so is the technique, the technology, safety and the artistry for a natural result. In Ontario, Canada, safety has been improved by requiring accreditation of the clinic as to maximize standards of sterilization and infection control. We do believe this is a positive requirement for our patients.Having access to the latest technology is also important. The latest in FUE has been quite important in my practice as to enhance the quality of our results and minimize stigmata of hair harvesting.Plastic surgeons are known for their manual dexterity and also their artistry. We have also been trained in all types of hair restoration technique, surgical and non-surgical. Many Canadians chose a plastic surgeons today for their hair restoration procedures.I also strongly believe in PRP, nano fat grafting, low level laser and LED technology for hair thinning and for maintenance of native and grafted hair.I hope this helps!Kind regards,Dr. Marc DuPéré, Aesthetic plastic surgeon
Thank you for your question and pictures. It is unlikely to be caused by a TCA peel (or laser). Superficial lines are often "sleep lines". Deep linear vertical dents are usually caused by blood vessels or rarely a manifestation of linear scleroderma (called "coup de sabre sign", usually bigger and slightly more central over the forehead).Treatment is dermal fillers or fat grafting.Hope this helps!Kindest regards,Dr. Marc DuPéré, Toronto aesthetic plastic surgeon
Thank you for your question and pictures.Yes fillers are great products to fill in the mid-forehead depression and is a much easier alternative to fat grafting (poor survival rate in forehead) and custom-made forehead implant (I do all 3 procedures in my practice). The filler must be inserted over the bone and the CANNULA technique is mandatory for optimal safety. Using needle injection technique there has a high risk of injecting inadvertently in the blood vessels and causing serious soft tissue damage. Cannula (I use 25g) is much much safer.Get an experienced plastic surgeon to do this.Hope this helps and thanks again for raising this great application of fillers here on realself!Kind regards, Dr. Marc DuPéré, aesthetic plastic surgeon
Thank you for your questions and pictures. I do see the small pointy earlobe on your second picture; it is a mild "pixie" ear, as we call it and a tell-tale sign of a facelift. It is fixable with re-elevating the posterior skin flaps and a small component in front of the earlobe.I know you prefer the first incision YET we all try to hug the incision right into the creases so for me, the first incision is wrong too.It is very important, when doing a facelift and neck lift to do a SMAS AND a skin lift. The SMAS refers to the muscle layers below the skin. Once can pull HARD on the muscles BUT NOT HARD on the skin. Since the skin is attached to the muscles, pulling on the muscles will bring the skin along. Relying too much on the skin lift leads to unusual horizontal lines on the cheeks and/or temples (the so-called "windswept" facelift and/or one get thick scars and/or the earlobes gets pull down, as in your case. I trained in Toronto, Paris, Los Angeles, NYC and Brazil. I've learned to fix the muscles under the chin (so an anterior platysmaplasty is very important in most people) and then anchoring this neck "sling (SMAS) to 3 strong anchors; pulling hard on the muscles will not give you any tell-tale signs of a facelift. Then one tailors the skin exactly to the underlying ear contours so NO tension on the skin.Hope this helps!Kind regards,Dr. Marc DuPéré,
