Based on your photo, you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. A well performed rhinoplasty can make the tip appear more narrow, and the nostril width can be reduced as well, all while maintaining a natural appearance. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.
Hello and thank you for your question and the picture. Addressing the shape of your nose (especially the bridge and nasal tip) is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty can best address both your aesthetic concerns and any functional issues with your nose. I would be able to straighten your nose, and also adjust the size, shape, and definition of your nose (particularly the tip)! This truly is a surgery of millimeters- and whether you're looking for a minor adjustment or a major transformation, it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve functional and natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in male rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading male rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with male rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps!Dr. Donald GrovesAesthetic Plastic Surgeon
Hello and thank you for your question! Based on the picture you provided you would be a good candidate for a cosmetic rhinoplasty. This procedure could work to slim the nasal dorsum, correct the lateral deformity, and create a narrower tip. As always, it would be best to seek an in-office consult with a plastic and reconstructive surgeon to assess what procedures and techniques would work best for your aesthetic goals. Hope this helps!
Yes, based on the photo you do appear to be a good candidate for a rhinoplasty. Narrowing the tip should not be a problem. Making the nostrils more narrow is possible but the scar is sometimes visible. Overall I would expect you to be able to get the result you are wanting. Thanks1
Yes you are as long as you understand that your nose will always widen when you smile because that is a normal attachment pattern of how the muscles interplay on the face.
You are a candidate for a rhinoplasty. The tip can be made narrow as well as the width of the nose. However, narrowing the width of the nose can result in the nasal airway being decreased and it may interfere with your breathing. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Based on your photo, you appear to be a good candidate for narrowing the mid and lower nose. The tip of your nose has good definition for a male, but the nostrils (alar base) appear wide even without smiling and likely widen further when you do smile. Additional views would be helpful for a complete evaluation of your nose.Dr. B.
Tip plasty may be performed for a narrower tip appearance, and a lower plasty may be performed for less flare of your nostrils. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Cartilage grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. An alar base Reduction can be performed safely at the same time. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
It would be very difficult to give you good evaluation and advice based on this single photo. In person or teleconference consultation with board certified plastic surgeon, expert in rhinoplasty is recommended.
Hi, The piezo is a tool that can be used to cut bone during the surgery. It is somewhat of a misnomer to call the entire rhinoplasty a piezo-rhinoplasty, because it is not the tool that is giving the results. The key to good results is knowing how and where to make the bone cuts, and how to...
NuvaRing contains synthetic estrogens which may be associated with a deep venous thrombosis. Having general anesthesia and lying on your back also is associated with deep venous thrombosis, however, that is typically with much longer operations in patients who are obese. In our practice, we look...
You have a broad nose with a bulbous nasal tip, thick skin, and acne. Thick skin can often mask the crucial surgical adjustments to the osseocartilaginous structure of your nose. A structural rhinoplasty is your ideal solution if you have a broad nose with poor projection and a bulbous tip. This...
