58 y/o female needing eye refresh. Considering brow lift with bleth, or just bleth with possible BOTOX. Concerns with brow lift are asymmetry, descent, raising the forehead, and hair loss (is loss temporary and only at the incision site or can it be more diffuse?) Which brow lift procedure would be best in my case? If only doing a bleth surgery, can a brow lift be done at a later time? Lastly, can "11's" be addressed with bleth surgery only? Many thanks!
Answer: Brow lift + upper eyelid Hi from Istanbul! I would recommend a combination of either a gliding or direct brow lift along with upper eyelid surgery to optimally address and rejuvenate the areas you are concerned about. A temporary hair loss may be seen at the incision site after a brow lift but that is rare. As for the "11's", or the frown lines between the eyebrows, Botox injections are typically the most effective solution. Best of luck on your journey!

Answer: Non-Surgical Chemical Brow Lift for Eyelid Rejuvenation -- add Ultherapy, Thread Lifting, RF Skin Tightening, Laser Treatments As we age, our eyelids naturally sag and droop. A combination approach would be best to see visible improvement. In terms of non-surgical treatment options, I would recommend a Chemical Brow Lift (using Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau) and filler injections to rejuvenate the temples, eyebrow, eyelid, eye troughs, upper eye hollows, and forehead. I typically combine this with Ultherapy and thread lifting to lift the brow; RF and skin tightening laser treatments to stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin; and laser or superficial RF devices for improvements in texture, color, and any crepey skin around the eyes as needed. In some cases, surgery is the best solution to achieve the desired results. See an expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Considering options From your photos it appears you are a candidate for an upper blepharoplasty which will address the excess skin of the upper lid. It will not address brow position or 11's. For the brow position you can consider a lift, or try to Botox to see if it gives you a result you like. You can do a brow lift at a later date if you do not choose to have it with the upper bleph. I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to discuss your options.

Answer: Refreshing & Rejuvenating The Eyes: KEEP IT SIMPLE Before jumping into extpensive surgeries engendering significant post-surgical downtime, you may wish to keep things simple, less expensive and with little to no significant downtime. How, you ask. Simple: For the eleven lines and crow's feet Botox. For the pronounced under-eye hollows and tear troughs a robust HA filler for the upper cheek lower lid border area (an important support for the under-eyes) and, IF still necessary (probably not) a cohesive, malleable, low viscosity HA filler as a kind of "polishing step." Except for the Botox effects, which generally take one to seven days to obtain, the results of the filler treatments are immediately seen in the mirror. Once the aforementioned have been done, you might find that the improvements and rejuvenation and refreshment were so substantial that no further work needs to be done at this time. However, if you are still bothered by the upper lid laxity, you can check out The Ten Minute Eyelift. Hope this helps and best of luck.
