Would I be a candidate for lipo 360? Want to avoid Tummy Tuck scar if possible (photos)

Question

I've had 4 children naturally. I know a TT would give me flat flat results but I am wanting to avoid the scar if possible. Would I be left with sagging skin if I choose lipo 360?

Hello @kaybs, thank you for your question and showing you pictures. It is important to take into account your expectations in order to make a complete surgical plan. Most likely because of the pregnancies not only the skin got lax but also an abdominal diastasis was generated, the latter must be solved with a muscular plication as well as take out excess. Thank you for your question and images. Though a full consultation would be required to assess your skin quality, your photos show that you may be a candidate for liposuction alone. This would get rid of any excess fullness; however, it will not treat any diastasis recti obtained from prior pregnancies, or treat excess skin. Loose skin after liposuction is always a concern among patients and surgeons. Thee is not guaranteed method to predict the amount of skin laxity one will have after surgery. Oftentimes the procedure can be combined with radiofrequency energy such as Renuvion to provide improved results to the skin after surgery. Skin that has been stretched out by multiple pregnancies will always have some degree of laxity. You could have a successful liposuction procedure to contour your abdomen, waist and back with minimal scars.  I agree this would be better than a tummy tuck scar even though you couldn't have muscle plication with lipo.

An in person evaluation is always best but from the photos it appears the optimal results for you would be from a tummy tuck.  Liposuction would remove fat and help to sculpt your curves but it would not address the diastasis.  If that was corrected via a tummy tuck you would have a flat, tight tummy.  I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to discuss your goals for surgery.  Together you can select the procedure that is best for you.
