I recently received 2ml of voluma split between my cheeks. The results looked good for 1 month, but then I started noticing hollowing eyes and pre-filler flat cheeks. I’ve never had hollow eyes before and the whole look really aged me. This was all in a matter of 3-4 months, nothing else in my life changed. Were the initial cheek fillers a bad decision/poorly done? What can be done to fix my rapidly “aging” look? I’m only 27
Answer: Facial Rejuvenation Thank you for your question. It is very important to understand facial aging when getting injectables for facial rejuvenation. As an individual ages, they loose projection in their mid-face and their orbit (eye socket) gets bigger. Sometimes, you need filler in your mid face and under your eyes to restore a youthful look. You may need to have both mid face and under eye filler to give you the look you desire. Each individual is different and an in office consultation with understanding of facial aging is important prior to treatment.

Answer: How To Stop The Signs of Aging Hello and thanks for your question and pictures. There are multiple things that can be done to slow down the signs of aging. At your age it is mostly maintenance, prevention, with mild correction. Though I don't think that your cheek fillers aged you. However, a single treatment is usually not a fix for multiple problems. You would do best with a combination of subtle treatments which would include fillers, botox, peels and lasers to name a few. I would also consider Sculptra which will really help build collagen over time and keep you looking refreshed. I would recommend you see an experienced physician provider for an in-person consultation and evaluation to determine which combination of treatments would be best for you. Choose your provider wisely as you don't want to risk looking overdone. Hope this helps!

Answer: Treating Eye Hollows -- Fillers Belotero, Juvederm Volbella; Laser Like Fraxel/Co2/J Plasma; Microneedling/PRP; Peels A combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eye hollows. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often. I suggest consulting with an expert to develop a treatment plan best suited for your short and long term goals. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Cheek filler Hey there thanks for the question - I wouldn't say you look rapidly aged, but your cheeks have flattened somewhat since your last injection. It's possible you migh get a longer lasting result simply by adding more filler in. If you look at how much volume of a spoon holds 1ml of water, you can see its not a huge amount of volume to spread over the whole cheek area and as such sometimes people would require repeat injections.
