Thank you for your question, and your photos. You are early in your post procedure course. Usually the patient sees the start of the neuromodulators, (Botox Dysport, Xeomin), working at day 4. The fillers usually see some result early, but some modulation continues. In our office we have patients come back at 2 weeks for their check on their neuromodulator or filler. At that point, most of the swelling is usually down, and we have an idea of the result. This may be delayed if the patient has a bruise. Often, asymmetry can be improved. Please make sure your well trained, experienced injector knows your current status.Jeffrey J. Roth, M.D., F.A.C.S.Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLas Vegas Plastic Surgery
Hello and thank you for the question. As with any type of dermal filler injection, it's not uncommon to have swelling, which can last for several days to a week or so. Since it's only been 24 hours, I recommend waiting at least a week to 10 days and reassessing. If you still think that your cheek look overfilled, I suggest returning to your injector so they can have a second look.
Thank you for asking about your Voluma result. Because of the swelling and bruising, one can't see your final result. I tell all my patients to wait two weeks to let their filler settle in and for swelling to subside. You should return to your injector then if the result is not satisfactory. Best of luck!
Hi there,Since you are only 24 hours post treatment it is too early to tell if the Voluma in your cheeks is overfilled. In our practice, we recommend that our patients follow up with us in the clinic at least 2 weeks after being treated. This allows both the patient and provider the opportunity to reassess the results and goal of treatment.Hope this helps,
Voluma is a great filler to correct lost cheeks volume. With that said it should be injected by an experienced and certified physician for good results. In your case it is difficult to assess your results since you are still swollen. But if in few weeks you are not happy you should definitely return to your doctor for follow up.
At present, it looks overfilled and uneven. I would wait the 10-14 days and then decide. If still too much for you, I would use Hylenex to partially dissolve the filler. I use cannulas for this injection and there is minimal swelling and bruising aftwards.
Thank you for your question. Only because it has been 24 hours after you have received your procedure, swelling and bruising is to be expected. I would give this 7-10 days, if this has not subsided it would be best to contact your provider for further assessment. Best of luck!
It's not uncommon to experience slight swelling and bruising after injections. Usually, any residual bruising resolves within 1 week. However, just as every patient is different, so is the amount of time it takes for any bruising to resolve. However, it does look like the bruise is healing and ...
Thank you for your question! Swelling after filler injections is always normal, some people swell more than others depending on a number of factors such as blood thinner use, diet, and anatomy. However, 4 weeks after filler injection should be enough time for normal post-filler injection ...
Hyaluronidase or Hylenex by it's brand name is the safest and most common way to dissolve HA Fillers. You may find after a few more weeks that the filler settles in and you may happy with your results.
