I am a 33 year old women and have noticed my eyelids are drooping. When I do eyeshadow I tend to lift my forehead to apply eyeshadow in the crease. What options do I have to correct this ? What Would Be My Best Bet ? I am sure botox would correct this , but is not permanent . I think this is a no Brainer that permanent changes would be my best bet. What would treatment cost look like ?
Answer: Eyelid surgery Your eyelids are NOT droopy (meaning they do not obstruct your pupil / vision), but you do have excessive skin of the upper eyelids, and this can be treated with blepharoplasty surgery. Costs of plastic surgery depend on the location, how expensive your area is in general, and also the reputation and experience of your plastic surgeon. You can call a few surgeon offices in the area, and most should be able to give you a cost estimate (or a reasonable range) for what you're looking for. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. Be certain your surgeon is properly certified. I've attached a link where you can start your search. In our practice, the cost is $4500 when done in our office suites, but if you choose to have full anesthesia for it (totally asleep), it adds about $1100.

Answer: Upper eyelid concerns Thanks for your question! You're young which is to your advantage. You have what I like to refer to as "full upper eyelids." This means that there is some fat behind the skin that makes this look this way. This fat as well as some skin can be removed to give you a nice contour and open your upper eyes. After this, your eye shadow will be much more noticeable and you shouldn't have to lift up your skin! Hope this helps and God Bless! Dr. Robb

Answer: Upper eyelid surgery Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. With that being said, based on your photographs, the best shape and contour could be achieved with an upper eyelid blepharoplasty. Cost varies based on geographic region and surgeon expertise. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Upper eye bleph You have some extra skin on the upper lids that could be trimmed with a surgery. Botox to the outer bow would also help to open up the lateral area, and will last about 3-4 months.

Answer: Excess upper eyelid skin You are correct! It would be a no brainer that upper eyelid surgery would address the problem but it will also have a much better result than any non surgical alternative, including Botox injections, could provide you. Upper eyelid surgery is safe and the recovery is relatively easy and I feel provides excellent return on your investment. Good Luck!
