Dr. Lane was great, a very nice person, explained everything that would be done, from surgery through recovery. She did a super job with my eyelid surgery! No more droopy eyelids. I couldn't be happier! And it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, it was a much easier recovery than I expected. I spoke with Katie the Aesthetics Coordinator via email many, many times prior to my surgery, I had so many questions and concerns, she explained and calmed me and was really nice and helpful! Just a great experience, I'm so glad I had the surgery.
amazing all around. dr. lane is a rock star!! consultation: i immediately felt super comfortable especially since dr. lane was up front about what she could and could not do ( i knew i couldn't look 20 again however i like it when surgeons are realistic about expectations ) - that matters a LOT especially since i had a really negative experience with a rhinoplasty surgeon (Mark Constantian - no longer practicing) who promised me the moon, the stars, everything. dr. lane delivered, more so than i could've hoped for to be honest. i've struggled with hereditary dark undereye circles since the dawn of time and now, i am happy to go outside without spending at least 45 minutes trying to perfect undereye concealer than ends up looking cakey and gross anyway - i've tried pretty much ALL of concealers, all eye creams, all of anything that gave any hope of working magic on the darkness. i should've just had this surgery 30+ years ago but then i wouldn't have met dr. lane so i guess everything happens as it should. along with my lower blepharoplasty, i had my upper lids done too. wow, what a difference! i don't look "overdone". i look natural, more bright-eyed and also like i actually got some real sleep. i'm going back for a touch of filler next month as that's something i had planned on doing anyway. the recovery was so easy compared to other procedures i've been through (two rhinoplasty/septoplasty surgeries along with a breast reduction surgery too - all super painful recovery periods for me). the gross stuff (bleeding, crusty goodness, goop etc) was very minimal, i was given some pain medication as i tend to be a bit of a baby when it comes to pain and boom, it was needed for the first 2 days...after that, i was up and around although i didn't drive for 6 days to be safe. what else can i say? the staff at both her office and the surgical center were amazing - it happened to be my birthday the day i had the procedure done and i remember all the staff wishing me a happy birthday as i was wheeled in, saying what a great gift i was giving myself. seriously, if dr. lane did ALL of what i need fixing (ahem, septum for one), she would be my go-to. if only. but i plan on dr. lane being mine, at least for my eyes, for the rest of my life. to reiterate: i cannot say enough good things about dr. lane as well as both staffs at her office and the surgery center she operates in when patients are going under general anesthesia (which i do believe in most instances, you have a choice of general or local, situation dependent of course). thank you SOOOOOO much dr. lane and company - truly outstanding work. i also love that dr. lane was just as excited as i was about the results - you can tell she loves her career and takes extreme pride in her work. she's also funny, easy going, happy, smiley and in general, just fabulous. i'd give her a big hug right now if i could :) hopefully i can come back and edit this to add photos (i don't have any comparison photos at this point but i plan on uploading some as soon as i do). i hope this helps anyone who is considering eyelid surgery in the new england area. i traveled 2 hours each way to see her - well worth it. i would've traveled 5x that long if i had to. okay, i'll stop gushing now but she really is fantastic!!!!
Dr. Lane and her staff are absolutely incredible. Always so warm and welcoming, I LOVE going to my appointments with her and feel like a million bucks after I walk out of there! I was a tad shy at first as I've never had any treatments like Dysport done before. They walked me through the whole procedure, explaining everything to me, step by step, and now I always look forward to my next appointment with her!
I love Dr. Lane and Katie! I have had Restalyne Filler 3 times and Dysport from my forehead wrinkles twice and what I love is how natural it all looks while making me look better! Dr. Lane and her staff are so friendly, professional and I have felt completely safe in this COVID-19 time. They are a complete pleasure to work with and I am grateful for the wonderful recommendations from Dr. Lane! Thank you team!!!!!
She is absolutely the best surgeon. She is so friendly, patient, kind, knowledgeable and so much more. I have gotten both eyelid surgery from her and lip fillers and both experiences were beyond my expectations! I was nervous about both and she made me feel so at ease. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Lane is both professional and patient. She actually listens and has an amazing bedside manner as I am often anxious about the procedure. If I could give Dr. Lane 10 stars I would! The staff is always courteous and efficient, check in and out is always easy. Thank you so much to everyone
I had a bilateral blepharoplasty done by Dr. Lane and it has been literally life changing. She was excellent and not only can I see better having those lids repaired/gone, but my headaches have gone away and I look younger, more well-rested, and I look happier (no more of that concerned/sad appearing droop). I don't have to lift my head in order to see the stop lights anymore! Not many people have noticed, but I noticed a big, positive difference in my appearance and I have referred several friends to Dr. Lane for their blepharoplasty needs. She also takes cultural and ethnic backgrounds into consideration which was important to me (i.e. Chinese heritage). I'll post pics later once scars have completely healed. I would 100% recommend. Updated on 7 Feb 2020: Here is my Before and After picture from my bilateral blepharoplasty by Dr. Lane. Surgery was done in September 2019 and after pic is from February 6, 2020. I am thrilled with the results! I would recommend her team to anyone thinking about having this procedure done.
I was happy to be referred by my optomologist for some eye pain that was most likely associated to over filling when I got my tee troughs injected for dark circles. Instead of getting rid of dark circle I gained bags under my eyes. Not my desired effect. Dr. Lane took a smaller approach and got rid of some not all of the filler hoping to preserve some of what was there. It’s two days later and I look great this am. I’m very happy with her approach also not breaking my bank! We chatted and she does all the normal facial fillers so I’ll be going back for more because she knows what she’s doing! Thank you and I’m glad we met.
I am basically just seeing what’s out there in terms of non surgical procedures to make enhancements to my face and lips. I love the way I look, but I am noticing huge changes to my appearance from age
I love this dr. She is so relaxed and honest in her evaluations. She doesn’t try to push anything and she takes her time with her clients.best of all she is really good at what she does. I highly recommend Dr Lane and her office.
A facial nerve palsy can be really devastating because it changes your face and they way you interact with the world. fortunately most people regain function, but like you - it's not always 100%. with the weakness on one side there can be chronic contraction of muscles which may make them feel tight, and the face can 'pull' to the involved side or more likely the other. there are several ways to approach this - and you might need a mixture. some carefully placed botox can make the weakness more symmetrical and can improve any synkensis that may have evolved. additionally, i routinely refer patients for facial physical therapy (there is special training for this) - some manual work by the PT helps to relax chronically contracted muscles and can improve this. good luck. you look great all things considered!
thank you for the photos. dark circles are usually caused by some combination of shadowing (volume loss), think skin, fluid retention, and then sometimes people are genetically predisposed (ie - family members have dark skin, or been that way since youth). fillers can help with the volume loss component and sometimes with the think skin component but not with the other reasons. looking at your photos you do have some volume loss or 'sunken eyes' so fillers may improve things, but it also looks like the skin around your eyes is just darker, and i wouldn't expect that to improve.i would definitely see someone familiar with fillers in this area, like an oculoplastic surgeon. lots of good ones in atlanta. good luck
the reason not to wear contacts after eyelid surgery is that your lids are swollen and a bit stiff and contact lens are fit to sit under the lids and they dont fit correctly when the lids are swollen, putting you at risk for contact related issues. you can probably get back into them after ~10 days if all is healing as expected.
You absolutely should have a blepharoplasty on both upper lids - that will be the best way to approach symmetry (because true symmetry actually does not exist in nature.) If you only treat the right, you will still be asymmetric, then likely have surgery on the left and you and your surgeon will 'chase your tail' trying to get it right. there is also some subtle volume loss in your superior sulcus on the left side and often times some fat can be mobilized inferiorly on that side to help fill the void.good luck
it appears that you have congenital ptosis of the left upper lid. this will not improve spontaneously. it is likely visually significant and fixing this should be covered by insurance. you should see an oculoplastic surgeon who is experienced with congenital ptosis surgery. good luck!
