I have a bump on one side of my bridge that makes my nose look different when viewing my profile from the sides/at an angle. My nose is not perfect, but I like it other than this raised side. My worry is that evening out the bridge will make my nose look even more noticeable uneven from the front. I also worry that my nose bridge would end up looking too unrealistically thin from the front. Everything else about my nose I don't mind at all. Are my expectations unrealistic? Thanks!
Answer: Rhinoplasty NYC It is indeed possible to reduce the hump on your nasal bridge while not making your nose on frontal view look uneven. Your current nasal configuration likely reflects a childhood injury or sport injury wherein your nose was hit from the right side, which is why your nasal bone on the right is in, and your nasal bone on the left is out. I often correct such configurations during rhinoplasty surgery, and I would expect a very successful result in your case.

Answer: Would evening out the bridge make my nose look noticeably uneven from the front? Hello and thank you for the question and sharing your photos. I believe you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. You have a small dorsal hump, a wide boxy tip, and septal deviation. You will benefit from reduction of your dorsal hump and nasal tip refinement. My best advice is that you discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in performing rhinoplasty. I would ask to see before and after pictures of their real patients. It's important that you trust your surgeon's skills and ability to achieve the results you are looking for. In particular, pay attention to your surgeon's experience with rhinoplasty. Best, Pejman Aflaki, M.D. Johns Hopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon

Answer: Thank you for your question. it appears from your picture that your nasal pyramid is deviated to the left. Picture the nasal bones like the A frame of a house. Now picture the A frame of the house shifted to the left. one would need to correct this to help straighten your nose. You would also need a physical exam to determine if there is anything else contributing to your crooked nose. I incorporate the FINNESSE technique (which I developed.) I typically do not pack the nose. Recovery is quicker versus traditional Techniques. (Please see the nose patient ten days out video on our page.) I hope you find this information useful. Please see the enclosed video.

Answer: Candidacy for rhinoplasty Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, I note that the mid 1/3 of the nose is displaced from midline. The bridge is minimally high. With a rhinoplasty, the nasal bridge will be straightened and the bridge slightly lowered with care to achieve the best symmetry possible. As you otherwise satisified with nasal appearance, nothing else needs to be done. Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for in-person evaluation and discussion. Best wishes...
