I'm a fighter. Can a surgeon make any improvements to my nose without breaking the bone?

Thank you for your question. Based off of your description, a rhinoplasty to remove the bump would likely require "breaking the bones" or osteotomies. This is done so you are not left with a nose that appears unnatural. Since you are looking for an option that will allow you to avoid the osteotomies and continue MMA, a nasal filler to help camouflage your nasal bump may be helpful. This would not be a permanent fix (results typically last 6-12 months) and would not achieve all of your goals, but it may be a good option until your MMA career comes to an end. If you have a rhinoplasty and have the jump removed you will almost certainly require the bones to be broken as part of the surgery. I can’t advise you regarding MMA but it seems that your nose is at risk to get broken whether you have the surgery or not. So it’s your decision if you want to get it done.

It would tae pictures to provide an informed answer but there are almost always changes that can be done to the nose that may not require osteotomies. You have already noted the type of tip changes that can be done separate from any management of the nasal bones.
