Going to be limited during the recovery of the procedure, both from swelling tenderness, and from instructions to protect the grafted fat. A lot of the discomfort and swelling will have subsided by six weeks and by three months your results should be final and you should be back to doing full activity. I suggest having multiple in person consultations at which time you can talk about your candidacy, the procedure, including recovery, and what that’s like. Delivering consistent quality, Liposuction and fat transfer a result is more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons to mastered these procedures are in a small minority. If done poorly, these procedures can leave people permanently disfigured. The importance of finding the right provider cannot be over emphasize. To do that, I recommend patience of multiple in person consultations. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients who had similar body characteristics to your yourself. An experienced plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you the before, and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Being shown a handful of pre-selected images, representing the best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider or how many of these procedures they’ve actually done. There are very different approaches to how the BBL is done and not all of them are desirable natural or give quality outcomes. The simple interpretation of what an attractive, female figure it should look like it’s very subjective and plastic surgeons apply their skills differently based on their own interpretation. Being board-certified in plastic surgery with an overall good reputation and years of experience does not mean somebody has necessarily good aesthetic judgment, or is good at any one single procedure, especially complex procedures, like body contouring, including Liposuction and fat transfer. Considering how much variation there is a Liposuction Inc, fat, transfer skill and experience among plastic surgeons I suggest patients consider having at least five in person consultations before choosing a provider. I recommend avoiding virtual consultations whenever possible, and I recommend avoiding traveling long distances when possible for elective surgical procedures. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
