Should you shampoo/wash your hair before a hair transplant surgery?

It is best to contact your doctor about PRE operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.It would be wise to have a clean hair/ clean scalp before surgery.

Washing your hair before a hair transplant is important.  Some physicians advocate antiseptic washes and others regular shampoo. You should check with your surgeon as to what protocol is recommended in your case. 

Your hair should be clean and free of gels and any other hair products.  Check with your surgeon for his/her preferences if this is not addressed in your preop instructions.
