Is it wise to smoke weed (marijuana) and drink alcohol or get high after hair transplant. I'm post op 9 weeks FUE?

As the question simply states, does marijuana causes negative effects on the transplanted hair. I'm not a stoner,I smoke weed two to three times a week. Would it cause any harm? I didn't smoke or drink alcohol for the first 8 weeks after the transplant procedure.

In general if you lost your graft after surgery you may notice bleeding. If you are concerned it is best to go back to your doctor for a recheck.

If you are prone to getting keloids you may be at risk of having keloid scars on your FUE scar. It is best to consult with your doctor to better understand you risk.

It looks like you are there about to get a transplant with marks like that!  Best of luck.  If it turns out not to be enough hair when it grows in, you should seek another consult with either the same surgeon or another surgeon.

It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.  There is no need to use coconut oil after surgery.

You cannot tell if a hair follicle is "dead" by just looking at your scalp.  It will take 6 to 12 months to see your final results.
