Is it wise to smoke weed (marijuana) and drink alcohol or get high after hair transplant. I'm post op 9 weeks FUE?

Question

As the question simply states, does marijuana causes negative effects on the transplanted hair. I'm not a stoner,I smoke weed two to three times a week. Would it cause any harm? I didn't smoke or drink alcohol for the first 8 weeks after the transplant procedure.

It is never wise to drink alcohol and smoke weed to get high in general so it would apply if you had a hair transplant as well.There aren't any medical studies to show what impact drugs and alcohol would have on hair transplant results.

Smoking or drinking will not impact your results or endanger the follicles at this point. At 9 weeks you are in the safe zone. Again drink and smoke responsibly.

Smoking weed will not harm your grafts from my experience with many patients.  Many people smoke after a hair transplant and the longer you wait, the better in theory

At 9 weeks post-op you will not have any effects on your hair transplant from smoking marijuana or drinking alcohol.
