Will I get keloids after FUE hair transplant?

Question

i wasnt born with keloids. But 5yrs ago i fell off a motorbike in spain and my shoulder grazed real bad and the scar was really deep and is now a keloid oh and i also got stabbed with a knife in my side and that is also a keloid .. sad times for me ay ... anyway i wanna get a fue hair transplant but not sure if can? also i have tattoos and have my ears both pierced and no keloids

If you are prone to getting keloids you may be at risk of having keloid scars on your FUE scar. It is best to consult with your doctor to better understand you risk.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Unlike the chest and shoulders keloids are very uncommon on the scalp and ever rarer with FUE.  It is also a good sign that you did not have them following your ear piercings. That said, your doctor should explain the risks after examining you.

Keloids are very very rare on the scalp; however, if you have a history you should speak with your surgeon. Sometimes I perform a test transplant to see wound healing
