Some bleeding is normal up until 48 hours. After that consistent bleeding requires review by your surgeon. In the picture the tip of your nose looks blue and this needs to be checked urgently by your surgeon

Thank you very much for enquire.It's too early to make value judgments with only 3 days after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

I would read your post-op intrusions and if they are unclear- communicate with your Board Certified PS and follow his instructions. I personally advise and require my patients to not touch anything until I see them post-op. Failure to follow these instructions could compromise the final result.

It is very normal to have some bleeding several days after rhinoplasty.  However, if you are bleeding enough to go to the ER, your surgeon should see you immediately.  Also, the skin of tip needs to be evaluated by your surgeon.  I recommend that you return to see your surgeon, as he/she will have a good idea of what to expect in regards to your specific progress, since they can evaluate you in relation to your preoperative appearance.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Your surgeon is the one to call, and when you do, be very specific about exactly what has transpired.Do not go to the ER unless you have heavy bleeding AND are unable to reach your surgeon.  He or she has a commitment to you to care for any and every issue related to your surgery.  Speaking as a rhinoplasty surgeon, I want to hear from my patient with ANY question or concern in the immediate post operative period.Wishing you the best for a successful recovery.
