Can I take a 3 hour bus journey the following day (after GA)?

I am having surgery which I will be 'under' for around 90 minutes at most. This is being done in the evening around 6pm. I am not telling anyone about my surgery, and I know many will tell me I need to have someone, but I really can't bring myself to tell anyone. I am a really private person, and this is being done 3 hours away from my home (it was my closest option). Would it be possible the following day to get the bus home (would take 3 hours)? Thank you in advance.
