Drainage is common in the weeks after undergoing septorhinoplasty, especially drainage that is thick or brown, greenish-yellow, dark red, pink, or slightly bloodied in color. Have you been using a nasal spray to gently clean the nostrils? If not, this may be the reason why small drops of blood are still falling from your nose. Since your septorhinoplasty was only 10 days ago, I wouldn’t worry too much about the discharge, since, as you said, it only occurs every few hours and is dark red in color. If the blood becomes brighter or flows more frequently, then please contact your operating plastic surgeon immediately to ensure that there is no problem.
