12 days postop still using garment and phone compression put on regular underwear and clothes to run errands for a few hours came back to a dent in my side. Is this normal? Can it be fixed without invasive or revision procedure?

Answer: Dents after liposuction You are way too early to worry about what your final contour will be. Follow directions and wear your garments. Seek the advice of your doctor. If there are dents at 6 months plan for a revision at 12 possibly. Thene again it may self correct.

Answer: Dents during the initial healing stage of liposuction Dents or any other types of skin asymmetries are fairly common after liposuction. However, most resolve on their own after several weeks or months as the patient moves forward to her recovery. It is important to note that factors that result in the appearance of temporary dents include swelling from seroma or excess fluids and internal scarring. Hence, using compression garments and keeping swelling to a minimum through superb diet and lymphatic drainage massage (and other modalities) could promote better results. Should the dents remain persistent for more than a year, they might be caused by over- or under-correction during surgery, which can be improved by some type of liposuction revision. Good luck and best wishes.
