Thank you for your question. Healing after liposuction k is usually pretty straight forward. There is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery. The later phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens. It is after this time that we are getting close to the final result, though this varies patient to patient.
Swelling and or irregularities can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for sharing your question and congratulations on your liposuction procedure. Depending on the extent of liposuction you had performed, it may take up to 6 months or longer for any lumpiness to go away. The lumpiness is often a combination of asymmetrical swelling and early scar formation that needs time to resolve. Hang in there!
Thank you for the question! It is rather difficult to fully evaluate your situation without an in-person exam. The lumpiness you describe could either refer to remaining pockets of fat that weren't liposuctioned successfully or swelling. It's not uncommon to experience some swelling shortly after the procedure. Typically, it takes 2-3 weeks for most bruising and postoperative discomfort to resolve, and additional 3-6 months for swelling to completely subside. An in-person exam with a board-certified plastic surgeon would be the best way to assess your situation and guarantee an individualized medical advice. Best of luck!
If it is from swelling, almost always resolves by 4-6 months. If it is irregular remaining fat - never.
Most of the time the lumpiness is due to swelling and as the swelling subsides, the lumpiness goes away.

Thank you for your question. Usually most of the lumpiness go away in 3-4 months and final result can be seen at 6 months. Doing radio frequency venus treatments will help for lumpiness and to get better skin tightening. Please talk to your PS
Thank you for the question. Unfortunately, liposuction will not fix loose skin that usually persists after weight loss. For that, you would need a tummy tuck. I would suggest an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in order to get an exam and find out what your opt...
Thanks for your question. I have my liposuction patients wear a compression garment (faja) covering all treated 24/7 except to shower for 4 weeks post op. This helps ontrol swelling as the compression on your tissues helps your body to reabsorb the edema fluid that accumulates in the ti...
Compression can help reduce swelling and improve final outcomes. Some Doctors recommend them and some don't. I recommend following up with your Doctor about their protocol for compression. My patients use customized compression after their procedure. For liposuction after care, I recommend...
