Can you have Sculptra while on an Anticoagulant?

The decision on whether to perform a Sculptra injection on a patient while they are taking a blood thinner will be up to the physician doing the treatment.  In my opinion, I think it would be okay to proceed with the Sculptra injection, but the physician treating you may feel differently.  

The risk of bruising/ hematoma formation depends on the amount of filler used, location and technique. In general, it is recommended to wait until you are off your blood thinners. I recommend consulting with a local dermatologic surgeon. Best, Dr. Soltani

While superficial bleeding and increasing bruising can be a problem, a more serious hematoma may require drainage. Incomplete drainage of a hematoma may lead to infection. 
Some may differ, but I would recommend waiting until you have completed your course of anticoagulation before your next sculptra injection.
