I had the best experience with Dr. Soltani. I had IPL done with her as well as Botox. It was my first time receiving these treatments and I was very happy with the results. I'm very happy with my Botox because it was subtle and natural and I am just as happy with my IPL treatment. My dark sun spots on my face responded well to just one treatment and I look forward to doing another one with her. Dr. Soltani is so sweet and took her time with me.
Hi, The original enhancement in your lips was mainly due to swelling after injection. Depending on the product used, swelling can be quite significant. You can follow up with your doctor for a touch up if you feel like you need fuller lips. Best! Dr. Soltani
Injectable fillers are commonly used to improve facial asymmetry. Adding slightly more volume to the right side of your face would be an option. Keep in mind that almost all faces are slightly asymmetric. In fact, this slight asymmetry enhances natural beauty. Best! Dr. Soltani
The sagging of the skin at the corners of the mouth results from a combination of (1) loss of collagen in the skin (from age and sun exposure) and (2) loss of volume/ fat in the cheek area (from age and weight loss). When the cheeks become deflated over time, the lax skin will fall downward and create a sagging appearance in the lower face. I recommend consulting an expert dermatologic surgeon. You would benefit from injecting filler in the cheek area, skin tightening devices such as radiofrequency, and PRP injections to improve skin elasticity. Best! Dr. Soltani.
The short answer is yes, you can get fillers but it's safety has not been studied. Fillers have been successfully used to treat scarring from lupus and other connective tissue diseases. In your case, the risk of complications such as infection might be higher, specially if you are taking prednisone or any other medication that suppresses your immune system. Stay away from silicone containing fillers. Best! Dr. Soltani
It would be best to consult with a local dermatologic surgeon to investigate your options. For first time filler users, hyaluronic acid products (Restylane and Juvederm family) are best choices since they are reversible and degradable. All the areas you mentioned above (lips, around the mouth, under the eyes, nasal bridge) could be filled at the same time. If you would like to take is step by step, lips are more common starting areas compared to nose or under the eyes. However, the choice of product and placement is a fine discussion between you and your treating physician. Best! Dr. Soltani.
