I am looking for a Dr in the DMV area who is willing to do a plus size tummy tuck i am 34 5'4 and weigh 237. I had lap band surgery in 2009 and lost 60lbs. I am happy being a plus size woman in just want the hanging skin on my stomach gone. I don't want to loose any more weight because i don't want all the loose skin and want to keep my womanly shape. I am not looking for perfection i just want to be comfortable in my own skin again so someone please help me!!

Answer: Plus size tummy tucks. If your health is otherwise good I see no reason why you should not easily find a plastic surgeon to do your tummy tuck! All surgeries carry risks, so choose your surgeon carefully. Look for a board certified plastic surgeon, who has done a ton of plus size tummy tucks, has previlages to perform this surgery at a local hospital and operates at a certified surgical facility. Don't be shy to ask: how many tummy tucks have you done on women my size, and don't settle for vague answers. A lot of bias exists regarding plus size people, I should know, I used to be 267 lbs. I too had a bariatric operation and have been slender since. Good luck and I wish you a safe and easy recovery.
