It can also be injected into the hips. It is a safe and effective filler to increase the volume of your hips and buttocks. Regarding your buttock, you can get BBL placed over your buttock implants. However, the procedure is risky, and the fat can infect your implants. If the implants become infected, they may require surgical removal. If this is a risk that you're willing to take, then you can undergo fat transfer over buttock implants. I would suggest you try Sculptra first. If the Sculptra does not achieve your desired results, I will embark upon fat transfer over your current buttock implants. A BBL can be done safely over buttock implants. There is a risk of fat being injected into the implants themselves, which could be disastrous. Ultrasound guidance, if your surgeon has it available, would minimize that risk significantly. Good luck!

The majority of plastic surgeons in the United States, despite offering almost every cosmetic procedure typically do not offer gluteal implant augmentation. There’s a good reason why your plastic surgeons generally opt to not offer this procedure. Gluteal implant augmentation is a high risk procedure both in regards to serious medical complications, including implant, failure, and high chance of poor Aesthetic Outcome with low patient satisfaction.
If gluteal implants did not give you a satisfactory answer, then grafting fat over the implant, is unlikely to fix the primary underlying problem.
There’s no yes, or no or absolute answers to your question. Some providers may be willing to graft fat over gluteal implants while others may not want to do it. Some providers may feel that this will give some improvement while others like myself we will be doubtful that, adding grafted fat will make a significant difference. Generally, high satisfaction procedures are based and having a clear understanding of what the underlying problem is then applying a procedure that treats the primary issue. if you’re not happy with the implants, then either the implants are the wrong size or in the wrong position.
