Dr. Alfano replaced two broken crowns on implants. I found him to be thorough and caring and his work excellent, taking care that my bite was well adjusted. His manner is pleasant and professional, he is interesting and has a good sense of humor. His assistants and office personnel are exceptional people, taking great care to make dental care as good an experience as possible.
There are those that want details; Dr. Alfano is a specialist a Prosthodontist to be exact. This means he has had extra education and experience in the branch of dentistry concerned with the design, manufacture, and fitting of artificial replacements for teeth and other parts of the mouth. While all that sounds good to me, I am more into the person with whom I feel I must put my trust. I have had to do this 3 times already and I for the first time in my life must say, "I am SO HAPPY to have a dentist I love!" I have complete trust in his mannerisms, approach, education, actions, work and honestly. He has suggested and done what is best for my health, my nerves, and my wallet. I am 54 years old. I have heard it said that those of my age and older are the ones more skeptical or afraid of dentistry and it is the younger generation that knows the easy of today's office visits to procedures. I now know it too. I find myself in the position to say, "Dr. Alfano you have done something no other dentist has done in 30 years. You made me comfortable in mind, body & spirit!" May you forever remain in practice, you are where you belong!
This is not a difficult procedure. Search your area for a Prosthodontist and have the crown replaced. Most likely the bleeding is due to a less than ideal fit at the margin of the crown, or the previous dentist prepared your tooth too low below the gums. Either way, this can be fixed and you will be happy with the outcome.
Looking at the post op x-ray the implant placement looks good. Possibly something "broke" during the extraction. This is a common complication. It looks like you were in good hands and the implants appear to be in a good position for a final restoration. The tooth anterior (in front of) to the implants has limited bone support and you should discuss options to manage this with your dentist.
Start with getting your hopeless teeth extracted. You may want to travel to a dental school or find a public health clinic. Save your money for a dentist who can fabricate a natural looking denture. When you get back on your feet you can evaluate adding dental implants to your prosthesis.
Dental Bonding will last between 5-7 years and at that time may require a touch up or complete replacement. You may want to consider Porcelain Veneers for a long term fix or you may elect to have the bonding replaced. Polishing or "touching up" the composite could be a short term fix.
