Last Patient of the Day Before a Holiday Weekend, Should I Reschedule to Ensure Quality Work?

I have an upcoming surgery scheduled right before a holiday weekend, and am the surgeon's last patient of the day. Should I switch to another day when I can be the first patient of the day or keep the appt? I feel like it's human nature to want to rush right before the weekend and know a lot of people in regular jobs slack towards the end of the day, but is the same true of surgeons? When are they are their sharpest? Thanks.

I'm sure it depends entirely on the surgeon and their professionalism. But I will never be the last patient on a Friday. My mother had a facelift on a Friday and as the last patient of the day. She started waking up during the procedure and told the nurse it was hurting her. The nurse told the Dr. repeatedly, but the Dr. He said "Don't worry about it. She'll be all right. I don't want to give her more anesthesia and extend her time in recovery" And then he stapled her head while she was awake and could feel it! He didn't want to stay and watch over her in recovery any longer than he had too. Makes me sick to think about it.
