Can I get liposuction on the entire upper back, including the back of my neck? I have something called a “buffalo hump”

Beth.  So sorry you have this condition but Liposuction is an excellent option for you.  Since liposuction decreases the number of fat cells in the areas treated, recurrence is far less likely, even if you gain weight.  Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Liposuction is really your only option to make an improvement in your buffalo hump. It does do very well and may come back years later but thank god lipo is always around to fix it.

your description, you may be a candidate for upper and lower back liposuction and posterior neck.   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most

Thanks for the question and yes you can have liposuction in that area, these difficult fat disorders typically require some ultrasound energy to fully emulsify and melt the fat since this fat is thicker and tougher to remove than normal fat

Hello, thanks for sharing your query. Liposuction is a ideal treatment for localized lipodystrophy. Lipodystrophy is hytrophy of fat cells not increase in number of fat cells. So with liposuction we are removing the fat cells. Though there may be chances that there may be some re accumulation of fat but you will be happy with the results of liposuction. Consult a board certified plastic surgeon.
